Taking all three of my girls (4, including Mrs. ob79) to the game this weekend, courtesy of @Atlanta VOL. First game for my middle and youngest. Just FYI, for those who doubt him...don't.

Prepare for cuteness overload because I'm taking a lot of pictures and posting them here.
But Gruden yaw yaw yaw

Plane took off on Saturday just after USC had gone up 21-17. Expected to land and see something like 38-27 USC final. Couldn't believe the 41-21 final score. Also my score app screwed up and said JJ had two rushing TDs in addition to his two receiving TDs. I thought he had turned in the greatest Vols performance in history for a few minutes.

Not sure if this got brought up over the last day-and-a-half, but it was mentioned by a caller on Basilio's post-game show. Hoke kicked him off the team because of that rant that he posted because they wouldn't let him play against Vanderbilt. Now, I understand the passion Jennings has for Tennessee, and it warms my heart to know that he was willing to lose his medical red-shirt to play in that one game to try to help us beat Vanderbilt.

But, if they had let him play, he wouldn't be here this year. And, in addition to what he's meant to this team and this season, I think most would agree that Jauan's made himself some money this year. That decision by Hoke (not to let him play against Vandy) is paying huge dividends to this season and to Jauan personally.
Yes, but the decision to dismiss him was not well-thought out. There is nothing wrong with suspending him indefinitely after something like that. So, while it was good to hold him out, it was a bad move to dismiss him, IMO.

I think you start Maurer, and give JG the week off unless BM and JT just blow up. I know he's cleared to go but I'd say that left wrist is going to be tender and easy to re-aggravate.
Go crazy this weekend, play JJ in some wildcat packages and give him freedom to do an RPO. Mix it up with all three, Mauer, JG, JJ...and whoever else they decide on. Whatever they choose, it seems to be working.

OL coach is the most important assistant in football. You could make the argument it’s even more important than OC in some cases. They are the ones installing the run game most of the time and off the pass protections and alignments. Bellicheck literally would not leave Dante Scarnecchias house to talk him out of retirement a few years ago. That’s how important he is and they are others like him. So the OL coach and OC have to be totally in sync offenses to work. In our case, Chaney has a major hand in coaching OL too so it’s clicking very well now. I’ll be the first to admit i didn’t love the Chaney hire bc i didn’t think our personnel fit what he likes to do, granted we haven’t done it well against quality opponents but if we keep playing well and make a bowl game I’ll gladly take my L on that.

But with Pittman tho it’s not that he’s a bad coach by any means he’s not. But he’s seen like some caped hero especially by here bc of who replaced him when his actual production and quality of individual players that he’s recruited, evaluated, and then helped move on isn’t overly impressive when you’re talking some of the best in the biz.
An OL without a properly coordinated offense, is a horde of fat guys pushing the wrong people. The fine point that we’re disagreeing on is razor thin, but it’s not gonna crack on either side. Hopefully you’re experienced enough to recognize that fact? 😎

If Maurer is healthy, you start him. He needs the in-game reps and he is who we are riding with the rest of the year, apparently.
