Taking all three of my girls (4, including Mrs. ob79) to the game this weekend, courtesy of @Atlanta VOL. First game for my middle and youngest. Just FYI, for those who doubt him...don't.
Prepare for cuteness overload because I'm taking a lot of pictures and posting them here.

Sam Pittman is properly rated and has been for a few years. He’s a great recruiter who needed the time to develop that reputation. As a coach, he coaches up his boys as well as any, but there’s only so much an OL coach can do tactically. You need an OC who can synergize the playmakers and scheme with the big guys. DeBord made our OL look almost legit at times and Chaney’s advanced our talent increase under Friend. Why am I not surprised...
Our passing game was outstanding and our OL played incredibly on Sat. against a salty SC defense and what do we see in this thread? Pittman is suddenly overrated and of course, rather than crediting JJ and our QB's for the passing game, its just that SC's passing defense isn't that good. Far be it from the usual suspects to give our coaching staff and players any credit.

Boom!! I love it!! My coach! We are about to run every team we face over the next 5 games off the field. I can feel it. VOLS win by double digits from here on out! Let’s go!!"How do you keep the edge with this team after having some success the last few weeks?" -Hubbs
We haven't done nothing yet. -Pruitt

I think Shrout started the game out 1 for 5...but then came back in after JG injury and went 6 for 6.Was just thinking that, from a "momentum" standpoint, he played lights out to finish off USC. Came in and went 7/11 for 122 with a TD (which was one of the best passes of the season, right up there with Maurer's 73 yard pass against Georgia).
Give him the start and see how he handles it.
Not sure if you caught the Pruitt show.. was his usual self, a little downplaying of the accomplishments and pointing out where we messed up.Why am I not surprised...

Good news on the injury front from Saturday.
Yeah just need to dominate this Saturday and get some guys that are banged up some rest. Then need to jump on Kentucky fast and get the crowd out of it, as well as make them be uncomfy playing from behind and not be able to throw the ball well.So we have UAB, Kentucky, Bye Week, Missouri and then Vandy. That Bye week is a nice spot for us.
Ashlee is the youngest (4) and is very noise sensitive but I'll be bringing ear protection. She LOVES going to high school games, so I'm hoping that she'll feel the same, if not MUCH MUCH MORE, about Neyland.Awesome! I'm not sure my kiddo is there yet...I will probably try to take him to an early one next year though.

To surmise: Everyone overrated what an OL coach does. Posted that before the season...and in every thread suggesting throwing the bank at a position coach pulling in $1.5 mil a year.Chaney deserves every single bit of credit for our offensive line this year. He is the OC / basically OL coach now. That doesn’t change the fact the Pittman is overrated. Is he a bad coach? No. But he’s not the urban legend megladon coach like some make him out to be.
not rocket surgery.
