It took the SEC 3 days to come up with this lie.

I thought that might be why, even at first glance I wondered why we weren't at the 3 yard line instead of the 5, as the ref called a 15 yard penalty.

But I'm a layman. IT'S a PI occurring less than 15 yards downfield, a zebra should know better! And the ref should have called out "the ball will placed at the spot of the foul" so DA line judge wouldn't piss his poor pants when he incorrectly thought the other judge messed up, when really HE MESSED UP! Embarrassing incompetence!!

maybe i had a different play in mind. i'm gonna delete just to be safe.
but if you want peep to let it go, stop defending the refs for stopping bammer from being eliminated from the playoffs and instead working so they can make a fake as f non-make-up "make up call" in two weeks that has the exact result of giving bammer an unearned first round playoff bye -- instead of sitting the f home, which is what they earned on the field.

Are you talking about the fake ass rigged officiating play where Jordan was about to score from the wildcat? And they didn't move the ball. And they looked to the bammer bench AFTER they stopped the clock so they could claim Saban stopped the clock (but Saban saw his Birmingham refs had already taken care of business), so they just stalled for long enough for Saban to make an adjustment and get everyone ready?

Or a different instance of rigged officiated?

Made me put my avi back. wtf

I agree that booing is a bad look that accomplishes nothing positive. But asking frustrated fans not to boo JG will fall on deaf ears. The ones that boo don't care, and they'll go at it long and loud. Hopefully, they won't throw trash on the field like SCAR fans did last week.
Then they just shouldn't show up tbh. Opposing fans would LOVE to see those in orange booing their own team. They know it only helps the Gamecocks.

Cheer on the damn team or sit at home and act like a baby

From available numbers, there are at least 9 NFL coaches making as much or more than Riley, and if guys like Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones are bidding on him, I expect he'd get in that club if he wants it. If you are an owner of a moribund franchise like the Redskins, Falcons or Dolphins, don't you think a name like Lincoln Riley would generate more fan enthusiasm than some retread failure like an Adam Gase or Fritz Shurmur, or a no name assistant like Zac Taylor?

Plus, even if he stays at OU, he's going to point to those college numbers and say he should be making more than guys like Brohm or Herman.

Of those 9 how many have been to a super bowl? There's more pressure in the NFL, Riley is likely at OU until he decides otherwise based on his current success. More job security where he is and like you pointed out, he's going to likely get a pay bump sooner rather than later.

Agree. Wish the jets hired him instead of gase. I would keep my eye on the cowboys if they don’t finish well.

Would be fun to see what he could do with Darnold. And yeah, I expect that if the Cowboys don't go deep into the playoffs, then Jerry is going to make a serious run at him.

Right, my original point is that he's going to get a pay bump one way or the other and move up that list of highest paid college coaches, and that could very well be by staying where he is.

Half of the SEC will go with these lights in the next year or so and we will soon follow. The recruits and kids love them (for the most part) and things evolve.

Yea, I get it. I'm not old either. But to me, that's a professional thing. Like in an NBA arena where they play music and have a light show while the game is playing. I don't know why players really care for it because they have to focus on their game.

That's not what he is saying at all. He thinks that the personal criticism is unfair and that they don't know JG, but JG gets it because he is the QB. Not hard at all to understand.
He also seems seem to imply it isn't helping at all. People aren't trashing some millionaire NFLer thay was drafted here. They're trashing a Vol who chose to come here and be a part of this.

To be fair TBA does all that

Hype factor imo for the players.

I'll admit it was kind of cool, but more than that - kind of intimidating. You see all the lights flashing off and on and hear "we will rock you" as you just try to talk to your position coach or teammates over all the noise...not very welcoming or calming. The home team feels like they are about to go to battle and the away team feels like they are in a maddening battle arena where all the spectators want to see the lion eat the man.

After seeing that, I think this would be an advantage for any home team, if done right. Of course some programs will botch it too.

The Bama Factor helps too. All the lights and hype would just feel silly, say, in Nashville, when 70% of the crowd is for the visiting team.
