He really stood out against BAMA. He was one of the twitters twitting out messages 2 weeks ago to VOLNATION.
He knows the team is getting better. He layed the lumber Saturday and had no problem wrapping up. He hit like a hammer.

I agree, but these frustrated fans are as much a problem as our local media, if they feel that they have "a right to boo."

USC is 3-4 (2-3) with their SEC loses coming to Alabama, Mizzou, Florida...the latter game was as badly officiated as our game, if not worse. They beat UK in a very one sided game, and upset Georgia on the road.

Meanwhile MSU is 3-4 (1-3) with wins over Lousiana, Southern Miss, & Kentucky likely only going to win 2 more games, unless Arkansas figures out a way to beat them.

South Carolina has a far tougher schedule and is a better team, don't even think it's that close.

I think he is going by computer numbers. Sagarin has USC at 34 and MSU at 41. Massey has USC at 44 and MSU at 49. ESPN FPI has USC at 25 and MSU at 31. ESPN FPI offensive efficiency has USC at 76 and MSU at 49. Defensive efficiency has USC at 12 and MSU at 59.

Well yeah, when the cupcakes you pound manage to win games in their soft conference it for sure helps your computer numbers. Where's UAB ranked I wonder?

UT is going to continue to try to head it off by putting out stuff about fan support, but it's going to be what it's going to be. Hopefully, the Vols can come out strong and get ahead early. Winning is the best way to quiet the angry mob.

Oh it's definitely not just us, doesn't make it any better tho. Organized tweets or not, I believe the players have thrived off of fan support this year.

They all do social media, everyone knows the sentiment towards JG. Want to really make an impact, show them the support even outweighs personal grievance. They would absolutely feed off of that.

Wishful thinking? Yeah probably. But if enough feel the same way, maybe they help drown out the me first crowd.

@LA Vol can you give any info on BM long term health concerns? Media talking about his repeated injuries being a serious concern, some even going as far to compare it to Trey Smith’s situation. That’s all clickbait right? It doesn’t look to me like BM has had 3 concussions.

What CJP said bef FL iirc is that Shrout and Maurer were at approx the same development, and Maurer got the nod bec he can run.

UAB is 101 in Sagarin and 99 in ESPN FPI.

I am not an analytics expert, but most models/indexes use the strength of schedule and use the weakness of an opponent in its efficiency calculations. It's built-in and just winning doesn't account for everything. Being efficient against Chattanooga isn't the same as being efficient against Alabama.
