Yeah, the timing was tight but the LB clearly knew he wasn't beating the pass because there was no effort to tackle, he just hit/shoved him up high. As for whether it's reasonable to expect a ref to reason that out in the moment, I don't know, but the intent was clearly a post-pass hit and not a sack attempt.

Edit: If the close timing means he hits Maurer the exact same way without extending his arms to shove him down, nobody even thinks twice about it. The active full-extension shove was an unnecessary extra and should have been the line that was crossed, especially since the extra effort caused a head injury.

Edit: As long as Tua is fair game after every throw for the rest of the year, I'm good with it. Send someone in to push him with that ankle after the release every play

Yeah I don't think he's had a concussion in either the last two games... just neck issues... there wasn't a blow to the head last week, he just fell and landed awkward, jarring his neck... in the bama game he did not get hit in the head from the player, he was pushed backwards and landed on his rear end, knocking the back of his head/neck into one of our O line's legs... if he got a concussion from any of those, then sorry, the kid's mellon must be a little soft... I think he got a neck stinger from last week and Saturday it got re-aggravated... I will be shocked if he doesn't play

If a DT is being blocked one on one yes or they shouldn’t be playing at this level. Usually a 50lb disparity

Lol you’ve showed your ass in this thread all year. It’s honestly pathetic. First banged the table how terrible Florida was and how much better we were. How pathetic Mullen was. How great and underrated JG was. Then we have no talent and Pruitts hands are tied bc he’s losing games he shouldn’t. But then you see that we actually do have good players and. Now we’re back and should be winning lol. Can’t wait to see what you’ll flip about again.

No way we tip our hand. Maurer will not be seen by the media all week. If he plays, you’ll find out Saturday
