Last thing I'll say on your hyperbolic and over the top reaction. This is assuming they are in college and playing a sport on scholarship.
I have two kids
If my kid is on social media, they should expect to be criticized. If I'm on social media bragging about my kid and he or she makes a mistake, it comes with the territory and I should expect to hear it.
I have a line for fans in what they say.
-Threats are unacceptable.
-Off topic name calling is unacceptable. (Calling someone a bad QB or the worst in Tennessee history is within bounds but calling someone a slur is out of bounds)
-Mentioning at home issues are unacceptable such as a divorce, death, etc. unless it is for support.
-Tweeting at highschool kids for any reason is unacceptable.
Tweeting football related comments and criticisms...that's fair. People calling him the worst QB ever, comes with it and is fair. If you want to play big boy ball, you should be tough enough to take that kind of heat.
well, i thought that was good. that game is over, he trusts his players, he's confident in JG, and hasn't wavered on that.
i would imagine they had a pretty good conversation yesterday. and i would imagine that he isn't done playing, assuming BM can't go at any point left this season.
all in all, i think everybody knows what happened, and pruitt has probably handled it as good as you can publically. you just can't throw a kid under the bus. can't.
and he took the high road again with the refs, mostly.....don't fault him there, but it'd of felt good to hear him say "yeah, they sucked, here's why, let me show you..." lol.
This is exactly what I took from it as well. I don't see any way Maurer plays Saturday. We're screwed. There's no way JG beats SC imo. We'll be lucky to score unless we can run the ball at will.Based on that, I'd take the under on Maurer playing Saturday, the over on JG starting and the odds of Shrout seeing the field, barring further QB injuries, firmly at zero.
Of course, Maurer could get through the protocol Saturday AM and still play.
she's married to Offset, but he does look confused...like I guess I'll bob my head and look the other wayevery time i see this gif i have to wonder whats going through ol' chad's head over there. are they together? does he know who she is? looks like a guy trying his hardest to disappear into the wallpaper and i just really want to know his story.
So you’re saying that if JG rolls back to hand the ball to Crouch, the OLB forgets gap assignment all of a sudden and crashes the middle anyway? The play would have resulted in a TD either way most likely, but it’s why you have fb as lead block on a pin and pull to block OLB that will fill the gap. Simple situational awareness man. That’s all.
We'll be lucky to score unless we can run the ball at will.
I think @Bassmaster_Vol and @Catbone have switched bodies. This is the epitome of TN luck. We finally have a difference maker at Qb, a guy with tremendous potential, and he can't stay healthy.

There is a poster in the FF who makes the claim that he is a contemporary of one of those officials and knows him at least by reputation.
He even goes so far as to give the ref's name and says the man is a Birmingham born Alabama fan. He would be the referee who stopped play so Bama could adjust when we came out in the Wildcat. Anthony Jordan redux, perhaps? Well, there are no social media posts to verify he is a Bama homer, yet. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, because something tells me we haven't heard the last on this one.

EDIT: By the way, the referee in question was the line judge and he is named here in this article:
Alabama vs. Tennessee Vols football: Who are the officials?
If Chaney didn't trust JG before, wait till Saturday. He'll manage JG with an iron fist and we'll rely on the run, which will be tough sledding against SCAR's defensive front. And the crowd will be surly once JG trots out there. But the OL is playing better, and we'll have both HenryT and Bituli for the whole game (hopefully), so if we can keep it low scoring, our running game could be enough. But... Chaney will probably have to loosen up and let JG throw.

About five minutes of amateur googling reveals where he’s from in Alabama and that he’s also big into the youth wrestling scene in Alabama. To be clear, nothing i saw in my five minutes of googling showed any evidence of him actually being a Bama football fan. But even the appearance of bias is unacceptable. It is laughable that the SEC would assign Alabama fans to Alabama games.
Sorry but you are now suggesting that in this case JGs dad be muted to be able to ignore the crazies and that’s way wrong. In his particular case he’s been a very positive contributor to Tenn and it’s recruiting efforts even as recently as last week which I found a little surprising with all that’s happened. Making his account private Eliminates the positive a family member even if you think muting them is ok.
I agree the players and family members shouldn’t read all that’s said about them and if they choose to do so that’s their fault. But when it’s DIRECTLY coming into their accounts where they have to read it if they want to participate in social media like a Majority of people that’s where it’s dead wrong and shameful.
