People tend to assume a concussion any time a player takes a head shot. And sometimes, it is. But UT trainers will take a player's helmet and sit him if the player seems at all dazed or has a headache. UT is cautious, and that's the right thing to do. CJP probably will address Maurer's status in tomorrow's presser. Since they took his helmet, he's probably in concussion protocol again... which may be precautionary or may be something more.

You have to wonder, though, if opposing teams will make it a strategy to try and knock Maurer out of the game, knowing we have backup issues? Some guys might consider that worth the penalty... assuming a flag is even thrown.

Cocky Pruitt is my dude. Love it when he gets fired up on the sideline. That edge is what got him this job in the first place.

It’s not even been mentioned,with what happened to Maurer lastnight if he actually had a concussion or not.Pruitt was just following protocol for a concussion that he suffered from the previous week.personally from how he landed against Miss st,I think he has a neck issue honestly,because when he fell down lastnight he instantly grabbed his neck,Not his head.

USC only -4.5. Bit surprising, must have gained respect last night.

The maurer/jg things could swing it heavily their way if Shrout is our last man standing though. 4.5 feels like a best case scenario where maurer is 100% cleared.

Pruitt said he had a concussion. Idk if that is verified, but that is what Pruitt said himself.

Not anything wrong with a good butt kicking. I'm a millenial but I had mine whipped all throughout my raising. I'll do the same with mine.

In the MSU game he got his bell rung but played through it. Barely hesitated and played two(?) plays before someone on the sideline noticed something.

Last night he immediately motioned to the sidelines.

Maybe the first one wasn’t so bad - but the bit last night took a toll.

I'm thinking of doing a cutup video this week of all the questionable ref calls or no calls. Seems you all already have a laundry list by heart.

Please post questionable calls by game clock, down and distance, and quarter, if possible. Or as best as your memory allows and I'll track them down.

Was ridiculous. It was like Guarantano was totally dismissing Pruitt. That's disrespectful. An Al Wilson type would have mopped him up on the sideline.

Kennedy said there was a play change at the line? Then...did he change it to the pin&pull (as was blocked) but still go qb sneak? Or was the change TO qb sneak, and some of the line missed it and blocked incorrectly?

Putting the pieces together only leaves more confusion if you at least believe Kennedy said there was a change of play.

You’ve got bigger issues...This team won’t play for JG after what he did at the goal line,that game is 20 to 28 against the number 1 team in the country with 9 minutes left to play.thats a huge momentum swing and you call your own play?..selfish.not even including all of the other Td’s the refs took from us.alabama was beat lastnight if Maurer never got hurt.

He said in the reply and then in another standalone tweet that the coaches can do whatever they think is needed to his son to make him a better player, to include grabbing his facemask or even knocking him to the ground. Scroll back a bit and somebody posted the second one.

Not quite. I don't think JG has been trusted to throw slants in 3 years. You saw a clear difference even last year with Chryst throwing slants. This year, before last night, SEC Statcat said Maurer had 21% rpo plays and jg was 7%. Maurer throws tons of slants. Last night was the first time I'd seen slants of any sort from JG in a meaningful number. JG can't run rpo game.
