Pruitt and his staff outcoached Saban and his staff last night. I hope Pruitt's our coach for 25 more years.I won’t dwell on it anymore today, it’s over. Final thought is the refs prevented Tennessee from competing for a CHANCE to win.
Moving forward I love how hard this team plays. I think they are really competing hard and I want to see a program led by Pruitt for at least 4 -5 years.
He may not be the best coach but no way you can deny he will win a lot of football games if they just give him ample time. Very encouraging to see the team take the fight to their opponent all game. I
I think next week will be a very difficult game because Muschamp has his team playing just like Pruitt does, hard nosed, no quit football. If Mauer can’t go I don’t see us beating them.
Go Vols!
@rjd970 posted this comparison in the FF:
Don't agree with him being a drama queen. If he had a neck strain the week before then I'm sure that play hurt a good bit.
I don't think it was concussion related and Pruitt was frustrated that something that really isn't serious is forcing our best player at QB to sit.
With Maurer in and even slightly biased officiating I am convinced we win that game.
The word is already out on the reason Pruitt list his mind and why that play was so epically failed. That's exactly what Pruitt and the players are doing. Pruitt said it's the coaches' fault. But the playcaller in the huddle is the QB. He changed the play. So players like Kennedy and Smith were put in the position of having to smooth things over by saying there was a misunderstanding and they weren't sure what happened. Former players are being more candid. Chaney already didn't trust JG and the players have better chemistry with Maurer. IDK how they rebuild trust by Saturday. But they need to find a way. Even if Maurer can start, we have to prepare for him to come out. I get why the coaches feel they have to keep JG somewhat invested... but I don't get the treatment of Shrout. At all.
Agree. And I think they will. Everyone paying attention is seeing the growth of this team. Must make a bowl game this year and he's safe from anymore hotseat talk anytime soon. And I've seen enough grit and growth from this team to know we'll be bowling.I agree Ron, my 4-5 year reference was I hope the fans, media and administrators just leave him alone for the next 4-5 years and just let the man do his job.

No choice for the coaches to take the high road. And no choice imo but to go with Maurer and shrout.
Either way actions speak louder than words so you really don't need to pile on by verbalizing anything.
It's a bit of a tough spot... But everybody knows what's up....
He had a good answer... It's late, down 23.... Mop up duty fits.
But I think we "know"
That energy from Pruitt is what I really liked about him last year. He's been much more subdued most of this season. That emotional Pruitt is the one I prefer. One of my favorite Pruitt moments from last night is after Jordan broke one of his big runs. Pruitt running down the sideline right beside him
That official last night looked a little bit like @David Ubben
man youre way off base. use your EQ. kid obviously wanted back in. Pruitt wasnt having it.
