Actually agree with you. You can either coach an OL or you can’t. He can, but there’s nothing revolutionary in his teaching...only so many ways to tell big guys to push other big guys. He didn’t pull 5 stars to Arkansas, but he had started his recruiting cred and all he needed was a stagePittman overrates. Solid. Nothing incredible.

Gtfo. Don’t no one read your stupid long post.Take control? All we heard, from our mighty useless 10 min practice reports is he was yelling at them some. He's the OC, he's everywhere and should be. Especially on a 5 man unit. And people blew it up and ran with it, as usual.
Fact is WF was the highest paid G5 asst coach for a reason. He built up a strong unit there, just as he had at uga and before. But the progress was always year 2 and after. Turning around a unit that depends on 6-10 guys takes way more time than other areas of a team. Anyone that thought one of the bottom 15 OLs in all of football, along with their s&c, would be fixed in 8 months, with a new scheme, was absolutely daydreaming. Anyone jumping on him after 8-12 months, with his track record, was an absolute fool.
No, I know the dude is good. "Lol" was directed towards the people who didn't like him when he was here. That initial Dooley staff wasn't bad.Evaluated, recruited, and layed the foundation for the players Pittman gets credit for. Then went had several 1st rounders at ND before helping the bears OL.
Pretty sure he was just before hiring Kevin Steele before that Orange Bowl disaster. Even then he still should have been hired. Just goes to show what a place that has resources like Tennessee can do for an even average coach. Keep Wilcox or hire Steele and we might be singing a different tune around here.Dooleys staff was loaded. One of the best group of assistants we’ve had here. He got on ansley, Harry, and Wilcox early
I forgot about him. What happened to him?
I'm here to tell you guys that this is Nick Saban's 13th year coaching the Crimson Tide and that in 1970 Bear Bryant was in his 13th year coaching the Crimson Tide. That year, Tennessee beat the brakes off Alabama 24-0 with the Tide throwing eight...EIGHT!! interceptions.
Therefore, it stands to reason (because math) that the Vols will win this Saturday and that the Tide will throw a ton of picks.
They are lost battles regardless. We wanted King, Johnson, Morris for sure. Replacing them is fine, doesn't wipe away anything. We don't have to be butthurt over it. No shame losing out to an experienced name HC right now with national presence for winning a natty. We have to just starting winning on the field more and turn the tables in the future. It's whatever right now.But how is a&m winning the battles when we haven't lost really anything. We replaced Johnson with someone we like more and is better. Didn't really "lose" King when we have a better QB committed. So I'm asking you to explain how we are "losing" battles.
