I agree. I know that is Saban and his former team, but nobody needs to be hurt and the 2-3-4 team needs experience, too. I'd like to see what Shrout could do.
No doubt. Our defense can't stop that offense. We aren't there yet, not even close. It's gonna be ugly. No sense in risking our starters, especially in positions we are super thin. Play JJP, play Beasley, play Shrout, play Keyton, play Tank, play Fields, play these guys that need experience. If we lose Bituli or Henry we are screwed.

I agree with you four is the floor.

What happens if we fail to meet that threshold?

Nothing happens, this team is far younger and thinner at the depth level than last year's team. I didn't want to believe it, but having seen them fade twice against Florida & Georgia it's pretty obvious. The big difference is that Dooley/Butch teams faded because they didn't care and they were poorly conditioned.

Pruitt's teams are fading mostly because they are inexperienced, it's good they are taking the lumps now and getting the game time though. You beat Mississippi State and that South Carolina game has an even larger crowd though, feel like this team will self propel a bit once they get the next win and confidence will carry them to play to their talent.

I would love 6-6, but honestly I can stomach another 5-7, especially since it'll mean we went 4-4 in the SEC which should put us 3rd or 4th in the East. That's an improvement over where the predictions had us and something to build on and point to with recruiting.

I'm trying to remain a realist though, this team can't sleepwalk with anyone on the schedule. So if they don't come to play every week no one left on the schedule is going to lay down for us.

we've already failed to do that..........this is just mitigating disaster at this point lol.
No, I’m disregarding the start.

What’s the floor for what should be expected going forward? I say it’s three wins.

I’m not saying fire anybody or anything - I’m just asking what should be the expectation for the last 7 games?

wait, we're playing Bama @ 9 EST....that' can't be right................................

For Week 8...this weekend is Week 7

So I assumed you was asking who the 3:30 was for this weekend, for week 8 CBS still has it as TBD. My assumption is Florida & South Carolina or LSU & MSU

8:00 Central?

We get the ESPN prime time treatment. oh yay.

Yea, I live in Central time, but I will be traveling in EST that weekend.

But, I don't ever remember a 8:00 CST game on ESPN. They usually start at 6:00 or 7:00 CST time and then show a game out west.

you said "what happens if we don't meet the threshold"......lol.

i expect 5-2.

if it doesnt' happen.........i'm gonna be really unhappy about it...and probabl bi**ch and moan about it for a day or two....then i'm going to watch TN basketball until April..............then Hockey..............then Golf...........get thru July.......then start thinking about 8 or 9 wins next year, and how on earth we can go to Norman and pull out a W in week 2.....glad i got time.....

i quoted a post specifically talking about a specific week. not sure what else to tell you.

yeah, it's happened before, the game is in Tuscaloosa, so it's 8 CST.

Yea, I understand. I know CBS shows a 7:00 CST game on a couple of weekends. But specifically, on ESPN, I do not recall that. Even in the old days, I am pretty sure it was a 7:00 CST primetime game and then would roll into Sports Center.

i've seen some West games on that late....Bama/LSU, LSU/Ole Miss, and i think the TN/Ole Miss game several years ago in Oxford was a 9 pm kick.....basicaly games played in the CST zone...........that are 8 pm kicks. there's been several.
