To be honest I am..because when you make that kinda switch it’s smart to never look back..but then again Pruitt has never been a HC before so this is one of his inexperienced decisions as a HC.Both qb’s will be looking over their shoulder now,if this was his plan all along he shouldn’t have even bothered taking JG out.
I'm not really disagreeing... I'm just not surprised so my level of pissed off is relatively low...

Like I can live with it as long as you're honest with me about it up front...

Lol...

It isn’t that I don’t agree, but what is the issue? Every QB that Chaney has ever coached got better and played well. JG is the exception. Why? Is it because Chaney suddenly forgot what he was doing? Or is it more likely that JG just doesn’t have it?
Usually taken until Y2 for that turnaround from his QBs. It's hard for any coach to have a real effect in 8 months and no games being played. I wouldn't judge him too much as it pertains to Shrout, jg, maurer, etc.

I think JG is just bad and a lost cause. I think we would see more from Maurer and Shrout if Chaney was full time QB coach. I don’t think Weinke is a good coach and Chaney has spent all his free time with the OL it seems. We have to keep Bailey and possibly get a GT for next year as I bet Shrout and JG are gone.

Good bet. IDT Shrout got a fair shake here. Both will probably do better elsewhere.

That’s a good point also.

Again, there’s no question that there are other issues. But even with those issues, the biggest problem we have is lack of a QB. That is hindering our rebuild and it’s hurting us in recruiting because without a QB we can’t win games.

We need Maurer to be good. Desperately.

Pruitt as a head coach...

If all they plan to do is run Maurer - it won't work. Kirby will have that figured out quickly. The whole CFB world has JG figured out.

Hope to see something well thought out with Maurer getting a RPO/rollout + running game package tailored to his skillset and not a hodgepodge of what may work for JG. Reason being, nothing is going to work well enough to win. I want them to build a scheme Maurer can use against MSU.

More than looking slow, weak, unathletic, the real problem to me is we don’t play hard or look prepared mentally. Those are things coaching makes up for - and we’ve been at a deficit in those areas for 3 out of 4 games.

These are the things that have to be fixed this season regardless of wins and losses. And the opportunity starts today.
