I had mixed thoughts on the Banks video.
The things said should not be a distraction to the team, and it seemed it had become that, at least with the media circus coverage. Blame the media, blame whomever. The fact is, he said what he said. However, I have said stupid stuff before; guess was just lucky for whatever reason.
I do hope it is a learning lesson for him. I liked his style, his energy. Realistically, he always seemed like a personal foul waiting to happen on the field. But again, I liked his energy. Will miss that.
Ultimately, I think CJP had to do this, regardless if anything else surfaces. Honestly surprised Thompson was not a casualty and was probably only saved because no charges stuck (nor a video

made available). Hopefully, this sends a message to the team. One we all have had to learn, or should learn..."don't do stupid $hit!".
We all have done stupid stuff. So not casting stones at Banks. I wish him the best. However, I also respect CJP for doing this, even if it was from external pressure. We may never know the real reason.
Go VOLS!!!!
