Interesting, we traced back to 1202 my father's side the Gorden/ Gordon clan in Scotland. I guess there is a castle associated, a clan shield, sword hilt and stripe in the Scottish kilt in gordens name.Am I the only one to reply to his on post. First time. Asking for a friend.
I would put in my share of Cherokee, but by now may be reaching Warren dilution. I'm not sure how the division works down the generations, but maybe it was 2nd or 3rd Great Gmom was 1/2 Cherokee. So, that with a predominate dose of Scottish....I'm surprised I'm an infrequent drinker. Or at least a light one.
Interesting tidbit that has nothing to do with Scotch, and the inclination for those of Scotch, Irish, and Indian mix to favor drink.
My family has an interesting background (Cummins Falls/State Park) because a great aunt and my dad did such an extensive family tree research for years. We literally have a file drawer full, and the underneath of my moms beside table. Long story short we know we go back to Red Comyn (Who was killed by Robert the Bruce) and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness. Highlander ancestry. Must explain my preference for mountains. We ended up with 10 brothers and 2 sisters settling on what is Cummins Falls via immigration and a stint in the Raleigh area. 4 Brothers and 2 sisters stayed while the other 6 migrated further north and west. And while we initially settled up the road form the Cummins Falls property, we eventually acquired the property in 1823 from a revolutionary war officer that had been awarded it for his service. And have had someone in the family living here continuously since. There are a few family research gaps around Raleigh, but my dad never made it there to the courthouse to finish up.

There are plenty the cops can and do confiscate. Maybe the NRA or the gun manufacturers can give to the cause for the bleeding heart 2A nutjobs. That's more or less old news except for the price tag of destruction. Funny thing, they could have given those weapons to agencies like police departments that could use patrol rifles but couldn't afford them.

Enough to outfit an entire department?
Furthermore, they are to use items seized and used as evidence? That's a dangerous precedent to set.
Didn't think this one through enough, did you?
There was a time I felt like the cops need them, say 25 years ago, so they could never be outgunned by legal firearms. Oh, how times have changed when we have cops advocating for the AR's like Oprah giving away cars. That's when it was confirmed cops are stupid. Always been a firm believer stupid people shouldn't have guns.
