And I’m not defending anything. Simply not buying into the manufactured outrage of people on here who had nothing to do with the arrest and booking yet are casting their feelings onto grown adults who were there

There isn’t any manufactured outrage. It’s pretty clear he was threatening and has been handled. You continue to bang your head against the wall with the feelings narrative that nobody believes.

Still not sure on a national TV game you want that story run all night if he plays. I don’t, it’s bad for recruiting and bad for the brand. That’s why I think he waits until next week. A nooner against MSU. Makes no sense to play him Saturday. He won’t make a difference in the outcome

Did you watch the video? First, the arresting officer was with UTPD, not KPD. Second, the comments he made were to an intern that they didn't wanna be a cop because where he's from they shoot at cops. A stupid thing to say, but given where he grew up, it's unfortunately accurate. Third, he wasn't "obviously...drunk or high on drugs." Have you ever worked with poor inner city youth? His response wasn't unlike many I've seen. They often lack the ability to deescalate. It's not in their toolkit. I can't speak for Banks, personally, but it looked like the kind of response I expect from these kids.

The fact is, this kid needs UT Football a lot more than UT Football needs him. If we're to cast aside every player or employee that does/says something dumb in the heat of the moment, we're sending them right back to the poverty hell they briefly escaped from. His behavior is a learned behavior. He can learn from this and be a better man for it.

A lot of these kids need guidance whether they grew up in a home without it or with it and it didn’t take. I see no need in giving up on him. He has a talent and is getting an education. Pruitt and staff have to be more than coaches and I believe they are. Banks did nothing that can’t be corrected. Unfortunately he has the mindset a lot of kids have even adults. But I will make a prediction he will overcome it he will graduate and he will appreciate everyone who helped get him there.

I see The VolNation court of pubic opinion is still going strong. Have we reached a consensus yet? Oh yea, I almost forgot, it’s not VolNation’s decision to make. It’s Coach Pruitt’s.

I can’t wait to see the board come game time tomorrow. It should be golden.

It's been a long two weeks. Banks got all the boomers in a tizzy. At least we can all focus on getting beat by 60 tomorrow and let all the nonsense go. GBO

I disagree with most of what you are saying on this issue....but the assertion that he was drunk or high is patently false, and I don't know where people are coming up with that. The incident was bad enough on it's face...it does not need incorrect information injected into the discussion.

Yeah. I just would love to guess why people bring it up. I have an idea, but Its Friday and I'm going to enjoy the weather, some Chik Fil A, and golf.
