Yeah, I don’t think anyone expected 10 wins in any of the next three or four years. But how you build matters. You have to show steady improvement and we haven’t done that.the key there is "should have".
i doubt a whole lot of folks see 10 wins as being remotely possible any time in the next couple/three years.....where the gap was narrowed 3-4 years ago, it's widened back out, by quite a margin.....we're not close to beating GA, FL or Bama right now so the ceilling is 9 until proven otherwise......which likely means 7 or 8 is most likely.
and that's only after we simply get back to being on par with the 2nd tier.
Now, if we ultimately get to that point, you can say none of the middle ground mattered. And I think a lot of people think that way. “If you give him enough time it’ll work no matter what.” I don’t buy that but I understand it.
We should be in a bowl game this year. We just should be. There’s no getting around it. The degree to which the failure to do so should be graded is where people get into some disagreement.
