So went backed and checked what tslent Mullen inhereted. MS St recruiting classes were 9-10th best in SEC in 2006, 2007, 2008. Mullens First class was ranked 8th in 2009. They were #2 in Conference in Rushing behind Antony Dixon. But their QBs were Relf and Tyson Lee...woof. Can't tell me either of those guys were better than JG.
booby Dixon lol.

Suburbs, a lot different than 20 years ago Cordova and getting worse but suburbs. Now there are plenty of places where what mr banks says is true. And as much as I think banks has made a mistake and hope he changes, any kid from the parts of town I’m familiar with is probably more concerned with making it out of there vs. bragging about it.
Gentrification has had that effect on some areas of Nashville. The people who got priced out of areas that used to be rough like 12 South and East Nashville have wound up in areas like Lavergne, which used to be a relatively quiet family area.

After getting through the whole tape I haven't decided if the real outrage is the crappy music officer yank was listening to or Jeremy Banks' attempts at singing and rapping. It's one of the two.
As punishment for banks , they should play the entire video in front of the whole team with banks present.

Fire fulmer!!!!
Hes supposed to take back over
He hates Pruitt
He, he, he.........

@HankHill

One thing i can’t argue we do know how to practice. We literally have the same exact practice structure as bama. Even stole their b-a-m-a - bama jumping jack chant.

We even went back to playing music according to the birds. 👌🏻👌🏻

That’s expected with astronomical growth like Nashville has had since what 2009? I graduated in Knox and moved back home then. Memphis is just different. Cordova was great then builders fit in whatever they could, instead of pricing going up it goes down because they want their money and there isn’t a booming population like Nashville .Cheaper housing eventually pulls the property values down and neighborhood dynamics change.

"We have a really outstanding, good-looking freshman class. We have seven seniors that are busting their butt, and a lot of other kids on the team, as well."

lol....not saying anything, but just sayin'.....feel like i've see similar statements about that very topic on here before........lol

Thats only the first year you’re there. You saw how bad it looked when butch finished 8-4 when he should’ve been 10-2
the key there is "should have".

i doubt a whole lot of folks see 10 wins as being remotely possible any time in the next couple/three years.....where the gap was narrowed 3-4 years ago, it's widened back out, by quite a margin.....we're not close to beating GA, FL or Bama right now so the ceilling is 9 until proven otherwise......which likely means 7 or 8 is most likely.

and that's only after we simply get back to being on par with the 2nd tier.

How are your interpreting that quote?

I read it where he’s saying the seniors are busting their butts along with a bunch of other players doing the same

So this boils down to we have a portion of the fan base that HATES CPF, no matter what. Do those people even acknowledge all the wins and good that he has done?

Nah. Tn roster way better. Jones' inflated classes, aside. Expectations have nothing to do with it. Proves Mullen is about 10x coach that Pruitt is.

Not sure why you asked then. Mullen went 5-7 again when Fitzgerald was a freshman and somehow made a bowl.

Mullen’s early years feasted on easy OOC schedules. This year was favorable for us, but playing OU, Oregon, etc. has made our years worse.

You can believe what you wanna believe. I’m not interested in a debate here. Js, most people wringing their hands over this have a limited perspective. There’s a cultural mistrust between the police and minorities in this country - and plenty of data to support both sides. Not saying it’s right, but it’s reality.

I agree for now but i don’t think that window stays open for more than a year or two. If this year went like everyone thought and hoped and we went 7-5/8-4. Then i think Pruitt or any coach has one or two years to get to that 9-3/10-2.

Mullen lost to South Alabama in year 8! Not year 2 after only one recruiting class. But year 8, 2 complete cycles in of his players! He must be an awful coach who will never be successful!
