yawn...................................when you take a break from looking down your nose at those of us in the peanut gallery, go check out how your boy is doing in LA again.

fact is you're assessments on who should be doing what are, at the very best only equal to anyone's in that peanut gallery.

so until your boy wins a game, stfu......

have a nice day. GBO.
Predicting who will do well in particular place is tricky. Being able to see who is failing is not very difficult. You have a good one yourself.

Muschamp was head coach in waiting at Texas before he got tired of waiting for Mac to hang it up and took the UF job. Kirby was the Bama DC for close to a decade and turned down multiple head coaching opportunities before his alma mater called. Pruitt jumped from staff to staff and was interviewed but not offered a job by Miss State. Reminds me of the old kid show song 'One of These Things Is Not Like the Others.'
Chip Kelly sat in Division I-AA for 19 seasons (never higher than a coordinator) before 2 as Oregon’s OC and you would’ve laid down on your back with your mouth wide open to get him here...while we’re doing musicals. 😏

What I forsee is that the class won't be what we expect/need. We won't get more than maybe one of the blue chippers that we've been wanting and we'll lose a few that have been committed. The usual posters will chastise anyone who freaks out and try to convince us that Pruitt is recruiting for his system and this was never going to be a higjly rated class. Next season won't be much better than the current one except that we may scratch out 6 wins. The peanut gallery will insist that a trip to the weedeater bowl is a sign of progress and we'll miss the window to replace Pruitt before he stacks lackluster classes thereby digging the hole a little deeper for the next guy.
Ah the vague “window”! Never have to specify what candidate we’re missing out on by waiting more than two seasons. Message board phenomena known as “Hillbillying”.

Urban coached 4 years as a HC before UF. He didn’t win his conference at BG. He went undefeated at Utah in a G5 conference. Have no idea how that is light years, considering he was only a HC for 4 years.

Not sure how I can make it any clearer, and I will now stop. UF has done the same thing, and UGA hired Kirby. From the same bin, but the actual hires need to be better.
He has his mind made up. You won't change it. Everything you are saying is true. Our admin ultimately chose poorly but we were choosing from the same level of coaches. The results have clouded his view. And hey it's hard to blame him.

Ga has had two weeks to prep. Kirby can't wait to embarrass us in our house. Don't be deceived by the ND game. Unfortunately I foresee a 55-10 type game.
Yep. They’re going to checker our stadium and Kirby is going to put it on Pruitt and Chaney for purely personal reasons. Not to mention the recruiting impact - we’ve got a few Georgia boys I’m sure they want to poach.

Our defensive front seven just isn’t going to be able to hold up for 60 minutes. Much like Florida, if we don’t score early we might not score 7 points.

I think it will be hard to get 2 sec teams in.
Ou,osu, and Clemson are virtual locks to go undefeated. Obv if one loses then there’s a window.
forgot about clemson...lol.

i don't know...man...LSU, Auburn, Bama, UGA......you can find 2 play off teams in that group i think. UGA wins the SEC goes undefeated and you maybe have a 1 loss West team sitting there???

gonna be some tough choices to make possibly....

If we can't score against FL I don't really see us scoring against a much, much better GA team.
i think we'll see some flashes of "better"...but i don't see us having any answer for their OL...and i expect they'll have a field day rushing the ball.....their defense is good too.....i think the spread is about right, it's up to what, 25?

off-topic question

I'm trying to crowd fund a small short-film, any suggestions? I've debated putting a thread in the Pub...it isn't just some random film or anything, it has a purpose/cause pushing it. But at the same time it's not exactly like I'm asking for funds to help off-set a funeral or surgery so I'm a bit torn on putting up.

It has a GoFund me page and I've shared via my personal FB, but seems to have stalled at this point. So trying to think of other ways to push it.

Pruitt was indeed reported to have been offered by Mississippi State.

I think he also turned down Vanderbilt when Franklin left before they hired Mason. He had other head coaching opportunities in the past that he passed on also at the smaller level.
It was not a stretch to hire Jeremy Pruitt. He was the defensive coordinator for two national championship winning programs. The logic was sound behind the decision.

Whether he fails or not, it was not a *bad* hire.

A stretch to hire a first time HC more than anything.

Where do you guys park when you don't have a parking pass?

Been going to games as long as I remember, but have only parked in one certain area. (Off the strip)
