Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

I think during last weeks game they talked about how JC and JG meet one on one. They talked how JC can tell what plays JG does not like to run by his response physically and verbally. That says a lot to me imo, the offense is hamstrung not only by bad play but also in limitation to what they run. With the strength of JJ and MC on the outside, you would think we would see more jump balls into the corners when we get into the redzone....but we don’t. I am not even sure we have seen one yet this year. We need more talent, more players willing to play the coaches schemes.

I remember back to when Crompton was our QB under Chaney as OC and HC Kiffin calling the plays during games.
Crompton's performance dramatically improved in the UGA game and thereafter---and it all started with about "8" bootleg plays against UGA's aggressive and overpursuing defense in 2009.

I can only remember 1 real bootleg being called so far......
We did run one deep pattern to the weakside off of play action from a stretch play look.

Move the dern pocket around a little.....JG made the best throw of the game against Fla rolling away from pressure to JJ to get us a first down.

Without Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, and Oklahoma college football would be so much more fun to watch. There would be a new 4 in the CFB playoffs every year and a chance for literally anyone to win

I’m sulking and used to be like you. Hope we beat BYU but the lack of give a crap on the sideline yesterday did me in. Then our coach makes some of the comments he did. He also ignored a handicapped kid we were trying to bless to go to a game. Blew it completely off. He’s a prick. Don’t worry, we got it taken care of thru a true Tennessean. Family will be in a skybox and get to meet a real football coach not named Jeremy. So yes, I am not Pruitts biggest fan and pissed on so many levels and not just this game.

Can you expound?

Not too much. Had a kid we wanted to see if he could meet some players ect who can't come to UT games. Been in a WC most of his life and can't talk. Just sad how we can take our kids to games and this dad can't go with his son because of his situation. Some buddies of Jeremy told him about it and had family write a letter that Jeremy got. Family never heard anything so some of us made sure he still got an opportunity and arranged a game for them in a sky box. He also got to meet someone better than our coach. Let's just say, I respect and admire our AD now more than ever. I will stop bringing it up now. I just lost any degree of respect I had for Jeremy. I know he's focused on trying to do his job but to me, this is part of what his job should be. We have folks to take care of the tough parts of arrangement. But for him to ignore it made some of his buddies think that perhaps he has forgot he is still just a good old boy from the mountain.

Or 1-11 the next. It doesn't matter what he does he'll make it into year 4 if he don't win another game. It's the Tennessee way. You don't like people criticizing, Ignore or stay off the forums. It's as simple as that.

My point was that CJP needs enough time to get HIS PLAYERS on board. The players he's recruited here look VERY GOOD
Even Jones really didn't produce anything decent until 2015--and he had Dobbs.

I'm interested to see what signing day looks like this year.....

We'll be much better next year IMO, too.

IMO there is no "giving" Pruitt more time. He earns it or is fired. This season is his more time. There is no positive trend line to justify it, just a regression in team performance.

UTAD will make the decision after all of the evidence is in. Still two thirds of a season to go. Not expecting much, but will always hope to be pleasantly surprised.
