Most telling thing I’ve seen

No, I wouldn’t....we’ve had two 4-win seasons in the past six seasons, and the last thing I was concerned about was how the team looked coming out of the tunnel for the second half.

But you do you....
Yes sir, I do. When your team plays like they’re on life support, and most of them act like getting their a$$ kicked is no big deal, the fans are just crazy, then yes, I would love to see anyone on this team display some “energy!”
GBO!!

Couple that with when Maurer went into the game, everyone looked like they played harder. He took control of the team, the receivers were slapping his helmet. Everything you want to see when the team is behind their QB.

I think Pruitt is losing the team because he is refusing to bench JG even tho Ray Charles could see he sucks. The team knows they can’t win with JG playing.

I believe most players understand that with the meat of the schedule coming that it is not opportune to throw a true freshman out there to ga and bam

Alrighty then...feel free to continue critiquing UT’s body language coming out of the tunnel after halftime next week against UGA and beyond.

he's part of the feministista agenda that thinks they're so smart they can figure it all out just by the way someone puts their hand on their hips....or cuts their hair......or blah blah blah

JG is not a leader on the field and that is what is desperately missing. Bituli is clearly our defensive leader, and they actually did pretty well against FL, because he was out there. It's not his fault. Everybody is not built to lead like that, but any prospect he has of the NFL are over at this point, and he's probably feeling lost.

When did it become standard practice to decide that QBs shouldn’t start against teams we have to play every single season?

Maurer doesn’t seem fragile. I think he can take his licks and keep his confidence. He seems to be a natural leader, maybe not an All American, but I don’t seem him getting his feewings’ hurt like JG does everytime he doesn’t get his way.

No band on the field. Crowd is dead. Pruitt talking to a sideline reporter.

Save the forensic analysis....This isn't the entrance, it's walking out of the locker room after the half.

If so, JG was told he was being benched. Instead of getting up in front and supporting he is somewhere sulking. Jalen Hurts was pulled in the NC game and took it like a man. Polar opposite reaction on our sideline.

Difference between Hurts and JG is Hurts has proven his talent on the field. Of course his self esteem wasn't rattled.

I get that. I was speaking in most coaches minds. Remember Tua was behind Hurts until bam had absolutely nothing to lose in the championship game. And it was blatantly obvious to everyone that he was the better qb

Proving yourself on the field doesn’t have anything to do with your character. I could make a case that Hurts could have been justified to respond differently because he had success or “proven” himself.

You really take all of that from watching the team jog out after halftime?

When? 2 1/2 years ago when a color analyst created a narrative out of a freshman standing by himself on the sideline?
It wasn’t a narrative created from nothing. It was obvious. Keep your view, I will keep mine. We don’t have to agree. Down the road we go.

For the record, I don’t have video evidence to support my thoughts or comments, no cited sources or confirmed audio. I know that is needed on a message board / forum of opinions.

JG never has had the posture of a leader. I know that sounds like BS but most of communication and thereby leadership comes through body language. His performance on the field is the main thing that kills him but his teammates seem completely unconcerned about him.

They seemed to have more desire to play while he was in the game. Weird why he was pulled. I know he overthrew some balls and stuff but thats no different than JG

JG probably threatening to transfer. Pruitt scared he will be stuck with just JT and Maurer, whom he refuses to play to get experience because JG might transfer.

So in effect, JG is actually the coach and shot caller around here. Pouts if he gets benched, but sucks when he plays.

It was probably for the best. Mullen adjusted to his skill set the moment BM went in by not rushing the defensive ends but rather stay home to stop him from running and to get into the throwing lanes to the flats. They only blitzed him once and he nearly got away. So why Chaney was calling screens and flat passes I have no idea. That was SCREAMING run! Especially given the fact that the 3 times they did run against that alignment Eric Grey was getting 5 yards a pop.

Pruitt doesn’t strike me as the guy scared of a player transferring.

Pruitt doesn’t strike me as the guy leading a major program.

Did Butch or Dooley strike you as the guy leading a major program? It’s arguable at this time whether Tennessee is a major program or not. Definitely are a blue blood historically but have not been relevant in a decade.

Good point. Butch had a little something going for a minute, but that was just Dobbs and Hurd being pretty good. Dooley, not so much either.

How long until the ‘blue blood historically’ starts to become arguable?
