This staff has to win football games. They know they can’t afford to throw the season away just yet and prepare for the future. The fact is JG gives them the best chance to do that. Not a good chance, mind you - I think we can all agree the QB won’t make a difference in the next 3 games - but he is the best option right now.

The priority should be to find what JG does well and to simplify everything for him. They are giving him too much control pre-snap and it needs to be reigned back so he gets out of his own head.

I understand this. And I'll cheer for our team regardless of who is playing QB. And I understand that the staff will start whomever they feel is the "best chance" to lead us ti victory. However one factor I haven't read a lot of opinions on, especially from the pro JG crowd is how the team would react. If you've watched any of our games it's obvious the offense is pretty sluggish and lacks intensity and grit. We've also heard rumors of heated arguments in the locker room after the UF game.

What if playing Mauer or Shrout gives us a emotional shot in the arm? They may not look as good in practice as JG but I can't help but think a few if these guys would get energized from a change at QB. May not result in a win but it may create more effort which is a big part of the problem in my eyes.

If Auburn does what Auburn always does (fire successful coaches) we should absolutely reach out to Malzahn behind closed doors. Gauge interest

Hugh Freeze. His checkered past wouldn't fly with the admin though. Apparently hampered his chances at being the offensive coordinator.

Absolutely. If they are dumb enough to fire Malzahn, I would pray we would reach out to gauge interest and get him signed pending a two win season by Pruitt of course. I promise I would not get upset with 8-10 win seasons every year. In fact, I would buy season tickets the day he signed.

Realistically I don’t want to fire Pruitt but seeing other teams with less than amazing rosters all across the country rebound faster than us is sickening. The east isn’t what it used to be. UGA is the top dog but UF basically makes it by by the east being garbage. That is not a good UF team. We have all the resources to be good and we should not be losing to GA St and BYU in year two when we return as many players as we did from last year even though we weren’t good last year you still expect improvement and the only place we seem to have gotten better is OL and somehow our QB is better protected yet is worse. Don’t think starting Maurer or Shrout wins us anymore games either sadly.
