Yet didn’t do the one thing she should have done - grad transfer for this year. Even if just for depth for a JG injury. He threw a bunch of stuff against the wall and hoped something stuck.Lol. Inherited JG and dormady...and brought in chryst.
Recruited shrout. Recruited Maurer. Brought in the kid this year as a transfer.
Has Bailey committed.
Move on.
We had 3 QBs coming in and everything they saw from JG this of season was positive.Yet didn’t do the one thing she should have done - grad transfer for this year. Even if just for depth for a JG injury. He threw a bunch of stuff against the wall and hoped something stuck.
I’m comfortable with it not being a universally lauded opinion. But I think it’s another pretty obvious indictment of his inability to manage a program.
I did not say we would not sign a full 25 in 2020 ... I said we would have to lose at least 8 non-senior scholarship players to do so. If Doyle and Hill are placed on scholarship, then we have to lose 10 non-seniors before the Fall. IMO If the 8-10 don't leave voluntarily, then CJP will run them off in order to sign a full 25 next year.Spit what ever numbers out you want but at the end of the day we currently have a full 25 spot to use.
It wasn’t lottery odds that JG wasn’t going to play every game. He missed time last year, and we were looking at two true freshmen starting on an already bad OL. Plus, when free agency opened, it was 50/50 (maybe?) that Trey Smith would play football again. You’ve got to make doubly sure you have QB addressed. We had 3 QBs coming in and everything they saw from JG this of season was positive.
And it's not like we didn't have plenty of other roster issues needing to be addressed too.
Hindsight is a perfect 20/20...
Best solution is to admit Pruitt is not a good head coach now, accept it, and hope he grows into that because you can’t just drive down to the Piggly Wiggly and pick one up at this point in the game.
Pruitt and/or bust
JG probably transfers at the end of the year. We'll roll in next year with 4 QBs. Transfer vet in Hill...RS so in shrout...true so in Maurer and Bailey. It wasn’t lottery odds that JG wasn’t going to play every game. But at any rate, if we’re going to only look forward, I’ll go on record saying that he would further compound that mistaken if he doesn’t take a GT for 2020. Hill isn’t enough, and Bailey, well, if he is coaching for his job in 2020, I wouldn’t want it in a trueness freshman’s hands.
I'm good with letting people with one foot out the door, out the door. Their focus is no longer on their current situation but the future. In which case the only thing they are is a distraction.Im fine with them leaving after a season but if they leave during I hate that the same why I hated The old ball coach when he left

If it’s those four, and assuming BM or Shrout don’t absolutely flash this year, it will mean Pruitt has been given assurances until at least 2021. I can’t see him putting his job on the line with two guys that hadn’t shown enough to beat out JG, a true freshman, and a transfer who wasn’t very good at Maryland before blowing out his knee.JG probably transfers at the end of the year. I'll be a little surprised if we go after another transfer unless there's just a can't miss kid we can get. It would have to make a lot of sense to do it cause we still need help in a lot of areas.
This all changes if more than one QB transfers.
He'll say.... "Well, football is a complimentary sport. If you have 10 players doin their part, aight!? And 1 not, aight!? It takes away our ability to play sound football. I tell you this, AAAAIGHT!? That UAB is good football team. Their QB is the second coming of Dak Prescott. But that's no excuse. We gotta play better. We're a young dang football team, aight!? Next year we are gonna have 11 players on both sides of the ball who want to play my style of ball! I'll tell you that, AIIIGHT!???Will Fulmer do the same if we lose to UAB?
Hey man, the question was asked if we thought more than 5 would enter the transfer portal before the end of the year and I replied with we had to lose 8 to sign 25 next year.
