He plays at a juco next year and he’s at best a redshirt sophomore at his next 4 year school. You’re trying to apply the Blake Barnett loophole. He HAD ALREADY redshirted his freshman season and had enough coursework done to make graduating juco feasible...since he was in his SECOND academic year. Really doubt Maurer is that far along...whether the rule “forces him to” or not.

You’re confused. Dobbs was a dual threat. Guarantano ain’t. Who would you have put on the scout team? Just because he’s the closest to that description doesn’t make him so. Ever watch him play at Maryland? He doesn’t hurt you with his legs.

Dobbs was not listed as a dual threat as a recruit. Neither was Hill. Dobbs is clearly a dual threat now, doesn’t mean Hill can’t do the same in the future

And (most of us) saw them play...that’s where the comparison ends. Dobbs wasn’t a dual threat because he CHOSE to be...it was because he was physically capable. Hill ain’t.
