I think we'll lose some, but the core seems committed. Bailey and Mays are the glue. Lose them and the whole class probably collapses. I'm sure we're resetting the board. Guys we slow played or were down the board will become viable targets. No doubt our pitch has changed significantly.
What could possibly happen to make Bailey want to walk away? This thing is being gift wrapped for him to come in and be the day one starter if he has an ounce of talent. He already has college and NFL size in high school.

Maurer will go off, throw 16 TDs, 2,400 yards. HB decommits, signs elsewhere, then Maurer will break his arm in summer drills.

Precisely

Guys saying Bailey is a hard commit--- serious question, who do we have or have coming in that is going to light it up at WR right now?? We need a Jarrett or someone else to spark the WR corp...

Is Russell Smith really going to talk to someone? 🤪
I actually enjoy "The Drive" in the afternoons. Outside of Trey (who i could do without) they don't pretend to be these huge insiders typically and they talk about the things that i talk about with my buddies when i'm watching these games. It's not the most polished show by any stretch of the imagination but i still find it entertaining to listen to especially in times of UT failure like what we're experiencing now.

Mauer will be named the starter after the bye week and Shrout enters the transfer portal. Mauer will lead us to a win against Georgia after throwing for over 300 yards and rushing for 150 and 5 total td's. But as he's in the process of taking the knee to end the game he blows his knee out and is out for the rest of the season. Leaving us with JG and walk ons for the rest of the season.

Sounds like Gibbs could come in and be a pretty solid contributor for us next season. I don't think he's AJ Green out there but sounds like he's a guy who can make some plays on the outside.

It may be BS, but its very well noted at this point that Pruitt is hard to work with. If he is going to try and start a rumor, it should atleast be a good one!
coaches are generally type a personalities that usually have some type of standard/process they live by professionally.

i'd be more shocked to hear that they're easy to work with.

and i still haven't seen the staff fall apart because of any of these issues. when it does, we can revisit....until then, it's just a rumor taking advantage of "the moment"

His gut telling him everything associated with Tennessee Football is toxic at the moment?
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend my son come to Tennessee at the moment as a highly recruited football prospect. Something is broken from the top down with Tennessee Football.

Now I know you are way down the list of intelligence around here but even you know the ncaa moves at a snails pace. It certainly won’t be changed anytime soon. The next year or so it will be would be my bet
Intelligence slight from the dumbest person to ever pretend he had functioning brain cells. K...Slappy! $100 it is as soon as Mr Bridger help you count up that many.

I think Pruitt knows his hands are tied with what he wants with his team. He wants to get his guys here. Not the previous staff's guys.

This is exactly the problem. Some of the upper-class guys have not fully bought into this staff and we're faced with playing too many freshmen and sophomores. That, in itself, is a bad idea in the SEC. We just have to suck it up and live and die with the young guys. There's no way around this situation.

I think with above average QB play it would be pretty shocking how fast the overall team could improve. Look no further than Josh Dobbs. If you take him out of the equation I don't think Jones ever tops 5-7, 6-6 record even with the talent he had on campus. A good QB just makes everything go sooo much easier.

Alot of these things are never substantiated, but happen alot. Its not that they have certain personalities unless its a do as i say or else. And in that case, it will never work. But in his profession, no coach will come out and confirm he is hard to work with. That will just make getting hired later difficult. You just cut ties and move on. But as i said, thats already been stated. If he wanted to start a rumor, start another. Unless of course its being regurgitated.

100$ to the charity of choice for the winner.

The 4 year RS gets tweaked before the end of the 2021-2022 sports year.

You in ?

I know this is fictional, but Shrout doesn’t benefit from transferring until the end of the season. He’s already used a redshirt and shouldn’t be in line to graduate. As with Guarantano, putting on the good soldier front is prolly the best face to show for any interested programs.
