My take on JG.

1) he’s clearly a front runner.


2) he played what I thought was his best quarter as a vol in the 1st Qt yesterday. He was sharp. He was in a rhythm and made plays. Without a questionable late hit and JJ dropping the TD we easily could have scored 14pts that opening quarter. Chaney had a good gameplan ready and JG was ready to play.

3) what happened after the second INT proves JG is a front runner. I don’t even think it was his fault but he clearly couldn’t handle the mistake and he clearly sucked after that.

Obvious troll. I’ll give credit where it is due, but JG was flat awful yesterday.

He’s atrocious. Should be playing at the FCS level and that’s questionable

And none of that was in the first quarter other than the dropped TD turn pick.

Here you go. We had 3 possessions the 1st quarter.

The first possession was derailed because of the 15 yard late hit penalty. Drive two ended with the JJ drop TD and we had the ball at the end of the quarter on the third possession.

He had 9 pass attempts and went 6/9 which should have been 7/9 with a TD to JJ.


THEN the second quarter happened and ill
Be damned if it didn’t start with both JG and Bama Pruitt going brain dead and taking a delay of game penalty. Completely inexcusable for both JG, JC and Bama Pruitt for that to happen. After that JG was finished

Actually, no. Looking at the play by play he had 3 possessions in the first quarter and into the second. 2/3 ended in interceptions.

Mariota basically is what the critics said he is...an extremely athletic guy and a mediocre QB who had huge success running a wide-open offense that forced defenses to account for his ability to burn CBs. In the NFL it's the opposite. His running ability isn't nearly as feared, especially post-injury, and he also doesn't have a consistent deep ball. Defenses sit and wait for him to dump it off or throw those 15 yard passes to Walker.

Oh and i said Very clearly he was bad after the first quarter

The edzone pick was a poor throw that could have been caught.

I'm not sure which quarter he missed DWA but that was one of the worst thrown passes I ve seen in a while.

Second quarter missing DWA

How on earth was the JJ drop a poor throw?

It literally hit him right on the hands head high
