Mike Leach accepted the UT Job, then we withdrew the offer... Let that sink in

Except Leach didn't have an offer to accept.

Remember at that point, Currie sh!t himself and was flying around on a Kansas State Donor's plane trying a last ditch effort and didn't have the power to offer any coach at that time.

With that said, people would sh!t themselves here if Leach went 12-25 in his first 3 years here.

Incorrect. Texts revealed that Leach's agent thought he had the job.

You must not understand “facts.”

But Pruitt went 5-7 last year & 1-3 this year with losses to Georgia State and BYU.....those are literal facts.

Ok Joanne if 52-40 in the PAC 12 is your cup of tea by all means drink away.
Guy has 0 conference championships in 2 terrible conferences.

Currie needed approval to even offer...he never received it.
The rot in the Tennessee program goes all the way to the top. Davenport was obviously incompetent as are the people who keep hiring idiots like her to run the university.

The guy has basically a 60% career winning percentage. In 2 garbage conferences.

Learn football. Please. Oklahoma and Texas were winning national titles while Leach was at Texas Tech. The SEC is a few good west teams and UGA. Missouri left the "garbage" conference and went to the SECCG. The SEC East is a graveyard of awful teams. Washington State, Washington and Oregon would finished 2-4 in the SEC East this year.

People need a serious reality check.

Tennessee is DEAD.

Literally almost ANY coach could come here and beat BYU and Ga St. If you hired any other SEC head coach right now, Matt Luke, Derrick Mason, any of them, they probably win those two games.

Mike Leach would be 3-1 right now at the WORST. Anyone who cannot understand that is an idiot

Can someone explain to me why this high high high level coach was unemployed for three years after leaving Texas Tech? Anyone?

He was never officially offered the job, Currier meet with him while he was recruiting said he would THINK about it. Leach is in a Power 5 conference making big money he already has his players he wants. He isn't coming. Give it up. We need the old Oklahoma coach

11-2
9-4

If your cup of tea is, drink away.
1-3
5-7
4-8

I’m sure you want more, but Tennessee isn’t Bama, heck Tennessee isn’t even South Carolina anymore......I’ll take winning and going to bowls now days.

Nice attempt by most of you to re-write history. The majority of posters here didn’t want Leach and thought he would be a huge flop, bad culture fit, unproven recruiter, etc.

Pruitt probably never had any intentions of being a real HC.

Really, taking this job was a master stroke. He knows he can still get a good DC job on the spot even if he’s fired here as a HC. Why not go collect a check, go through the motions at Tennessee, Bammers old enemy, get paid a nice buyout, pay off his house and all his boats and toys, then go back to being a DC somewhere and collect his fat buyout checks every month for a few years and laugh about it while drinking good whiskey and smoking expensive cigars.

Master. Stroke....
