It’s just hard for me to fathom how much further we could be set back from 2-10. If you say 0-12, I just don’t see any real difference between the two. I guess if we are 2-10 and still have some semblance of a top 20 recruiting class, that’s something. But if you hire a real coach, you’d probably get at least a bump in excitement from recruits from that.
We have the second most production in the country that returned from last year and an easier schedule. So what gives aside from coaching?
I think the regression/lack of improvement/lack of development/whatever you want to call it is the most troubling part, with it being the specialty of both Pruitt and Ansley.Boils down to three things that we knew would be questions going in.

Only 1 of those three has shown to have come close to giving positive answers to those questions.
Aside from that, Nigel warrior and Taylor have been let downs in the secondary. And I simply cannot explain that....
Jabari Davis suggested that Warrior wasn’t Dale Carter’s real son today. It was a joke.... I think.....Boils down to three things that we knew would be questions going in.

His only chance is a backup QB *probably. Those that just hate him will say "fire him for not playing him sooner" but most will understand the concept of the backups getting better the longer they are taught. Here’s my thoughts. I like Pruitt but if we don’t start playing better, winning some games and this class falls completely apart. Then I think you start looking around to see who might be an option as a replacement.
What this staff is able to salvage will be the tell, imo.
We're already there.Nah, it's pretty much all coaching. This isn't a 2-10 roster at all. Moving forward either way is a gamble. It just depends on which one has better odds of us being good in five years. To me that choice is pretty clear and it's firing Pruitt ASAP, because we've seen enough. But...that's still a gamble, because then it makes the next guy's job harder, and it makes it harder to get that next guy. But as I said, keeping him may be the bigger gamble, because what if he's just total ass in 2020 as well and we're 3-9 or something? Then we may have two terrible classes in a row and be sort of locked into 90s Vandy land.
We have been blown out by Mizzou, Vandy, and now UF. Lost to Georgia state and BYU. And we have one win over one of the worst teams in college football. This is only our last six games. We are looking at our worst season in the history of our football program. I don’t know what it will take for people to realize that it is not working. Do we need to lose to UAB as well for everyone to jump? I wish Pruitt would light the world on fire and we make a massive comeback. I want to be able to go to a game and actually enjoy the game because I can be proud of the team on the field (win or lose).
The whole thing is just so utterly inexplicable.Boils down to three things that we knew would be questions going in.

Whatever. We're 1-3 coming off 4-8 and 5-7.... Looks like a duck sounds like a duck walks like a duckWe have talent. We should be 6-6 or 7-5 this year with the East the way it is and our OOC schedule. We can absolutely get worse. This roster could be devoid of talent AND we could have bad coaching. That's 90s Vandy.
Yeah... Much longer rebuild than a lot of people think/thought..21 or 22 season could be pretty good...The whole thing is just so utterly inexplicable.
And sadly, what hope is there for next year? Maybe the LOSs are improved, but unlikely dominant once again. Pass rush? No answer at QB. All new WRs. I just don't know where the light at the end of the tunnel is at this point and that is the worst thing right now. Not even hope.
I remember years ago Baylor was down their top 2 or 3 QBs and it was down to walkons or a drastic change in offense. So they put their most athletic runner in the wildcat and ran crazy and kept scoring plenty. It was wild to see work. I just wonder if we have someone that could succeed in that. Some say JJ, but I think we need more speed for it. I think AT played some QB in HS. Maybe even Crouch or BT could be interesting. If recruiting falls off a cliff and we keep trotting JG out there then we should know for an absolute fact Pruitt doesn’t care and is mailing this **** in for the buyout.
