It's the truth though. All of Butch's highly rated classes were full of Dillon Bates, Khalil McKenzies, Nigel Warriors, Todd Kelly's, and JGs. These guys were puffed up by Recruiting services. If they cranked those classes, they would be near the bottom. It’s no lazier than “can’t wait to get these upper classmen out of here and let Pruitts guys roll”
We are 1-3 and we are staring at a two win season and some people still think Pruitt needs time. Astonishing.
When I typed it, I thought "EVEN Hank wouldn't try to compare...."So all things are equal, except coaching, right?

And I'm not here to tell you coaching is great.
But these takes are just lazy and play to the lowest common denominator.
Hey... It worked for Butch... For a little while...Ripping into one another is what we do after losses but I'm not into right now. Here's my thoughts..disagree..don't care.
We HAVE to improve at QB. I'm not in the Pruitt debate, hire or fire whoever y'all want. He hasn't earned my trust.
But 1 thing Bass is right about, decent QB, we're 3-1 at worst.
That doesn't mean I'm backing Pruitt or that he wouldn'tsuck anyway, just that he's looking even worse than he is, regardless of whatever that level is.
Why keep him for stability when you are getting blown out every week and our schedule is worse next year? We want stability because nothing has worked. The truth is, if we hire a real coach who is a proven winner, we could be competing in a few years. We can’t keep holding onto coaches who we know are not going to make it. I would love for Pruitt to get this figured out but I have little faith that it will happen. It’s lose/lose either way. Even getting a new coach tomorrow means we are another 3 years away, minimum. We are probably that far away anyway. All things equal at this point you keep stability and try to at least get us back to sea level before climbing the hill with someone else.
Not saying I like Pruitt nor am I defending him. But this is a sh***y situation all around.
We have been blown out by Mizzou, Vandy, and now UF. Lost to Georgia state and BYU. And we have one win over one of the worst teams in college football. This is only our last six games. We are looking at our worst season in the history of our football program. I don’t know what it will take for people to realize that it is not working. Do we need to lose to UAB as well for everyone to jump? I wish Pruitt would light the world on fire and we make a massive comeback. I want to be able to go to a game and actually enjoy the game because I can be proud of the team on the field (win or lose).Equally astonishing, any fan that thinks, into a second year hire, there’s already a need to wash our hands of Pruitt.
It’s just hard for me to fathom how much further we could be set back from 2-10. If you say 0-12, I just don’t see any real difference between the two. I guess if we are 2-10 and still have some semblance of a top 20 recruiting class, that’s something. But if you hire a real coach, you’d probably get at least a bump in excitement from recruits from that.Firing Pruitt sets us back for sure. But not firing Pruitt may set us back even further. It just depends on how things play out. He absolutely has to show something to give the fans/recruits hope before the season ends. To me that's not losing to UAB and winning at least 2 SEC games. If we go 0-8 he's gotta go, even if that sets us back again. And while that's a gamble, you're also gambling that he's not a truly terrible coach by keeping him, and a 2-10 record absolutely indicates he's a terrible coach.
Boils down to three things that we knew would be questions going in.It’s just hard for me to fathom how much further we could be set back from 2-10. If you say 0-12, I just don’t see any real difference between the two. I guess if we are 2-10 and still have some semblance of a top 20 recruiting class, that’s something. But if you hire a real coach, you’d probably get at least a bump in excitement from recruits from that.
We have the second most production in the country that returned from last year and an easier schedule. So what gives aside from coaching?
