I don't disagree with that. I'm not making excuses for anyone. I'm saying I empathize with people who are trying and failing, instead of hating on them for their shortcomings. It doesn't mean I think they're doing a bang-up job. Losing is just no fun, all around.

I absolutely empathize with the players. I can’t imagine practicing every day, going to classes you don’t care about, and hitting the weight room all for nothing on Saturdays.

Lifetime average is 26.4 points by Chaney vs Grantham. 26.4 points would rank in the 80s this year for a scoring offense. No bueno.

26 would've been enough to beat this FL team. Defense would not have gotten gassed, plus fewer turnovers and opportunities for FL to score.

I love Pruitt’s recruits though.

He has gotten some studs here, hoping we don’t end up wasting their talent.

Not about raw talent at this point. It is if we can develop. Huge questiom mark given how little development we've seen since last year. A lot of talk about "Butch recruits" but this staff aint done crap with those guys. No better developers so far than CBJ.

This is not me disparaging Henry T, Gray, Crouch, etc.... but every coach would have a handful of good players we’d be excited about by this point.

Yeah well it didnt happen. Point is grantham has beat him overall. No need to debate absurd hypotheticals. Its on chaney when our offense is so poor, not utikizing JG correctly, and no backup looks ready AT ALL when their 2 star is playing great. One coaches, other recruits.

But otherwise I think this is right. An offensively focused HC with a stout winning record at a mid tier school. Someone like Bryan Harsin comes to mind immediately.

Yep - it’s on him 100% too. He trashed those guys publicly and they didn’t respond to it. Some teams do, some teams don’t. He made a mistake.

What compounded that mistake is the 25 scholarship limit. He couldn’t purge the roster like previous coaches would have.
