Bass, there are a ton more issues than that... most glaring is the fact that I don’t see a single player who is better this year than last. Jennings is healthy, but otherwise

When a true freshman comes in and outplays your whole defense then you know that it’s not on coaching in my opinion.

A lot of other teams are winning-- and winning big-- with grad transfer QBs... FR QBs... 3rd string QBs. While we sit here trying to hammer that same square peg into a round hole.

At some point, you have to say "Next!" (That point was a while back.)
You guys have one of those ‘idea boxes’ at work. If so, drop that in there.

Pruitt is deep into JG. I think it’s a horrible idea, but he’s gonna have to live with his decisions.
I think he figured out today that dog won't hunt. Putting him back in was stupid. Leaving 3 timeouts on the field was also stupid. Pruitt wanted to go home. Maurer could have used the time to get some game reps.

Pruitt had a few things going for him: he already had most of his staff set up (Tyson Helton was big selling point lol), younger, better recruiting resume and Charlie Anderson vouched for him.

Not a fan of boosters essentially trumping AD hires.

You pay the AD to make these decisions, why are we so obviously not doing this?

Don't have time to go back to read, and pretty sure it's not a good idea, but is anyone else suicidal besides me and Catbone? Or is Catbone enjoying the misery of everyone?

Meh. Already agreed with lavol about what other teams seem to be able to do but we can't.

Abd I've not absolved anybody. I just think these problems this program has are deeper than just blaming the coach.

There isn't an easy fix here.

Fire him, keep him... Doesn't matter. We're several years away from... Well, doing anything.
I agree with you that the wounds are deep - I’m not blaming him for putting us in this situation.

I am stating that he has offered zero evidence that he is capable of fixing it. I think it’s best to avoid a sunk cost fallacy situation. If others aren’t there yet, they will be at this rate.

There definitely is not enough improvement. I think you could argue Pope and Theo are better, but that is marginal and nowhere near enough. I know money is the big concern, but I don’t think we can let this experiment go for 4 years.

I have no clue where you go to make it work. I guess either an older guy like Les Miles, or you could go try Mike Leach again. I would rather not go the CPF route, but it would be more effective than what we have now. I don’t think Meyer or Stoops is realistic because if they wanted to coach there would likely be much better options than us available.

My biggest concern is that we are in year 2, and we still have effort and alignment issues seemingly every weekend.

What really sucks is SC, Mizzou, Vandy, KY all look very average/bad. Why can’t we get our crap together? mom not asking to beat UGA and Bama. But an 8-9 win season sure would be nice.

And I’ll be honest with you..at the very start of the game how JG took command of the offense line pointing out what to look out for and things like that from the defensive formation gave me hope..but it’s like after a while that JG disappears and you wonder where it goes.he done the same thing last week..dude just has no heart,no intensity or desire to win here in my opinion.
