One player doesn't cause a loss of this magnitude. Take away every single one of JG truly horrible plays and we still get beat badly. You guys are obsessed with singling out one problem area and putting all blame for a horrific game on that one thing. There are dozens and dozens of reasons why this season is going horribly, and JG is only one of them.

It all flows from him bud, get real. Qbs make or break entire teams. If you don't know that you dont know football.

“We have not got great play from that position, in my opinion, in three out of four games. I believe in the guys in the room. We have to play better there, for sure. But you have to take it from the practice field to the game field. And I brought up just three plays that were within a three or four play sequence there. Delay of game, miss a guy for a touchdown then throw a pick versus trap coverage. Jarrett is a better quarterback than that. He has to play better than that. I feel like we have some playmakers on offense, but for the ball to get to those guys, it has to go through a quarterback.”

I dont either. I have zero hope. I officially give up and have resigned myself to knowing the football team is dead for the foreseeable future. Not a glimer of hope in sight.

The QB situation had been shaky for three years.

I know people are dying for a reason to not blame the staff but we’re going to be at an impasse here. There are multiple teams around the country getting good QB play from first or second year players.

Maurer was garbage too. He had a couple of good passes but was horrid with everything else.

But with this staff, we probably saw peak Maurer today.

Maurer coming cold off the bench in the swamp, i doubt we saw his best.

If anything this season should show everyone just how important the qb position is. You just can’t win without a competent qb at this level. The QB is the most impactful player on the team by far.

I get people are upset at Pruitt. He hasn't been perfect, no doubt. He's made mistakes.

But he has no QB and no DL. What can he do?

To me, Maurer has the dual threat capability to bring a backer down to open up the field for our wideouts. I think the coaches saw that today.

Meh. Already agreed with lavol about what other teams seem to be able to do but we can't.

Abd I've not absolved anybody. I just think these problems this program has are deeper than just blaming the coach.

There isn't an easy fix here.

Fire him, keep him... Doesn't matter. We're several years away from... Well, doing anything.

It is frustrating to see what's going on elsewhere and we can't do diddlypoo.

There are no guarantees with a GT... but hedging our bets would have been prudent. JG has missed games due to injury every year and we have no seasoned backups. When the coaches aren't confident with any of our three scholarship QBs, how could we not have brought in someone else? (Hill doesn't count.)

Just curious he had NFL experience & even HC experience as an interim.

Pruitt had a few things going for him: he already had most of his staff set up (Tyson Helton was big selling point lol), younger, better recruiting resume and Charlie Anderson vouched for him.

Right Pruitt!!..hot garbage!..the only QB that managed to get us points on the board today, otherwise it’s a shutout..luckily he has 4 more years to improve on a platform,he stands on already better than a 3rd year veteran QB in JG.butch logic
