We've let other coaches overstay, given them more time to fail and where has that gotten us? I'm not advocating firing him today, not at the end of the season but if it's clear he's not going to make it, why delay the inevitable? It's like letting a fire burn it's way out.You want him gone? How will that work? No one will come here we've seen that play out already.
And if you don’t have a qb go get one! This is year 2, no excuses for not having a competitive QB startingThank you! I’m tired of excuses. We have looked terrible and we have one of the highest paid coaching staffs in America. It is the coaches jobs to have their players ready. USC beat a good Utah team will a third string QB. We don’t have a single QB who has looked half as good as USC’s third string QB did. That is development.
I disagree respectfully. Many head coaches get way more out of their talent. Plenty of head coaches would have this team 3-1. Look at what Matt Campbell has done at Iowa state. They should win three games a year and they are competitive with everyone. We have a major coaching issue as well. We are lacking in talent but we have enough talent to beat Kentucky, Vandy, BYU, GSU, UAB, USC, Mizzou. We don’t have the coaching to do it.
JG chucked a pretty bad throw to JJ in the end zone even though JJ probably should have caught it, and it led to a tipped ball and interception. That’s not really coaching.
JG also missed DWA wide open, and likely would have led to a score. No one within 10 yards of him. That’s not really coaching.
JG threw an INT by literally throwing the ball directly to an opposing player. Timing issue or route issue aside, that’s still a bonehead play and not really coaching.
Does it sound like QB is our biggest problem yet?
My worry with the coaching right now is the technique with our DBs. Between Pruitt and Ansley, I thought we’d be better despite our youth.
One player doesn't cause a loss of this magnitude. Take away every single one of JG truly horrible plays and we still get beat badly. You guys are obsessed with singling out one problem area and putting all blame for a horrific game on that one thing. There are dozens and dozens of reasons why this season is going horribly, and JG is only one of them.JG chucked a pretty bad throw to JJ in the end zone even though JJ probably should have caught it, and it led to a tipped ball and interception. Then why do the coaches continue to trot him out to make more mistakes? Why aren’t the other QBs ready? Shrout has been here for two years and Maurer looks like a freshmen. Why did we shuffle o linemen for three games constantly like we’re in high school? There is a lot on coaching. We are looking at a two to three win season. You cannot tell me we don’t have enough talent to win 5-6 games with ok coaching.JG chucked a pretty bad throw to JJ in the end zone even though JJ probably should have caught it, and it led to a tipped ball and interception. He has a lot to do with the QB. Should have gotten a grad transfer or something last year.
