Nah. If BM plays like his first drive which is all for it right now then we can beat Kentucky and Vandy & maybe mizzou. We lost this thing by shooting ourself in the foot as far as I have watched.

We shot ourselves in the foot over and over. We committed bad penalties in bad moments that hurt us.

We had costly turnovers at key moments that kept points off the board.

We could get no pressure on Track without blitzing. DL is atrocious. When we blitzed, if we didn't get there, we were vulnerable and Trask hit the open man. Burrell really struggled in coverage.

JG played the way he has all year. He is not a good QB. He missed wide open receivers, threw the ball to the other team, showed no touch on screen or short passes, and didn't give our receivers a chance with 50/50 balls. The advantage we had in this game was our big receivers vs their freshman, and unless they were wide open, JG wouldn't throw it.

Only way to fix the mess we're in is with recruiting. But that isn't going to be easy with the season we are fixing to have. There is no reason to play JG for the remained of the year. None.

I just don't know what we expect Pruitt to do when we have such lack of talent in key positions. Defense would have been fine today if the DL wasn't so bad. Offense would have been fine today if JG wasn't so bad. What do you do?

I disagree respectfully. Many head coaches get way more out of their talent. Plenty of head coaches would have this team 3-1. Look at what Matt Campbell has done at Iowa state. They should win three games a year and they are competitive with everyone. We have a major coaching issue as well. We are lacking in talent but we have enough talent to beat Kentucky, Vandy, BYU, GSU, UAB, USC, Mizzou. We don’t have the coaching to do it.

I’m surprised he didn’t throw a fit on the sideline. I understand what Pruitt was trying to do by Benching him and trying to light fire under his ass. It obviously didn’t work and he didn’t seem to care so it’s time to move on.

Also, I don't buy the observation that the team wasn't bought it. I saw them playing their asses of until very late. We don't have the horses.

The ones we do have are, in fact, young.

Still. We look completely inept.

I can accept being young and that being the reason we get beat.

That's not what's happening. We suck abd we're dumb.

I like bass but I believe he’s probably giving Pruitt too much slack here. No way our squad should be sitting at 1 win right now.

Yes, it is rock bottom, but always room to drill a few holes, place a few sticks of dynamite, and blast an even deeper hole...so yes, we can descend further...always.

Random thoughts on today:

Playing a below average QB and playing a below average DL is not a good recipe to win games in CFB. We play both.

Score at the end of the 1st half didn’t reflect the game. We should have had 14 on the board.

Pruitt’s post-game comments about JG were very damning, IMO. JG doesn’t look motivated, and he doesn’t look positive. Starting to sound like the coaching stuff is almost over him. He also missed some easy plays again, but two of them cost us TDs. Can’t have that with our schedule.

Surprised to see our DBs play so poorly through 4 games.

What happened to Jeremy Banks today? Didn’t see much of him at all.

Not gonna lie. I kinda feel bad for Pruitt. He thought he could come in here and change things and it’s just been a horrible mess the whole time with the left over culture. His guys are always talking him up but the upperclassmen look like they’re just buying their time for the most part. His unwillingness to bench JG going forward is more than likely gonna cost him this job.

The only thing that will keep this thing together is the 2020 class.

Those turnovers the defense got for us? I am thinking BM could have at least got us some kind of score, if just a field goal. Little things like that keeps the team involved and playing hard-- could have changed the game.
