Strong Source: Fulmer is Gone

I don't mean to give credence to or take away from a "inside source" thread. I will say this....Hamilton has been eerily silent. Something is happening behind closed doors, and the silence means that it is happening in the right way.
I heard he was trying to get you banned from this board. Said he was gettin' damn tired of the guitar shot to the head BS.:)

Has Muschamp proven that he can recruit?

The guy is intense and a good D coordinator, but I'm not sure what else he offers at this point.

Well, from being around for the majors fiasco and all that led up to his eventual demise....This is the same type of stuff that was being said prior to Majors getting fired...all the stuff we are saying now is more or less just what it took to get the ball rolling on majors...only difference is Fulmer is in good health....So I think there is definately something going on behind closed doors...

That makes sense.

I think everyone can agree CPF is a Vol and appreciated for the NC.

I just wish after the Bama game he would bow out with grace and dignity instead of fighting like I'm afraid he'll do.

You don't get to where he is without being a fighter and from every credible source it seems like CPF is one hell of fighter.

I'm sure you mean - fighting like heck, fighting like heck, and that fights like heck

I don't get the whole angle of "Nobody can recruit nationally like Fulmer..."

Just don't get it...

So there you are, highest rated defensive tackle in the country, living in Podunk, Oregon or Whatsananny, New Jersey..... and Jon Gruden knocks on your door (I'm not vying for Gruden.. it's just a name off the top of my head).

"Hi. I'm Jon Gruden and I'm the head football coach of the University of Tennessee. Perhaps you've heard of me and the University. Wanna play for us?"

I mean, c'mon... there's no way Fulmer is the ONLY friggin guy who can recruit at the national level....

This is just my observation... perhaps others can enlighten me to how things really are.

Why couldn't a no-name coordinator do the same thing?

"Hi, I'm John Schmidt. I'm the offensive line coordinator under Jon Gruden, the new football coach at the University of Tennessee. Wanna play for us?"

I mean --- are running backs going to go to Michigan because Fred Jackson is the running backs coach or because Rich Rodriguez is the head coach?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Ah, but we wouldn't want to take the DT from Podunk, Oregon because everyone knows that all people on the west coast are losers and pansies. They can't compete with southern football players... Sorry, I am just poking fun of an illogical idea i see posted on this forum most times a player from the west coast is mentioned.

If you're wrong,I hope you get banned for life for posting this(jk).I hate reading this stuff when there is no source to back it up,but I'm gullible and will probably continue to be drawn in to reading it.

Funny. I agree with the whole "it's not true until the ink is dry" -- but decisions aren't made and enacted upon necessarily in the same day. However, if this proves to be wrong then I agree -- you can ban me. I don't like these threads and I wouldn't have posted it unless the source had direct access to the higher ups. Rest assured -- he does.

I have inside sources as well that I can't yet reveal that say Fulmer will be replaced by Jesus Christ. He brings in the Hail Mary offense that has been successful for 2000 years.

THis is a naive view of the world of recruiting.

Why don't each of you gather up your "inside sources" at one place and get it all figured out so we don't waste so much of our time buying in to who our next coach may be only to have another "inside source" say someone else. We keep hearing I heard............ about 50 times. Someone who KNOWS please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are the other UT message boards saying? Any of these rumors connecting or are they all going in different directions? This is the only one that I post and read comments. Just curious.
