A lot of people on this forum hope JG does bad and UT losesso they can come in here and gloat and say, “see, I told you so”. They want to feel like they have superior knowledge over a multi million dollar coaching staff.

Lol you think JG would start over Kelly Bryant? He sure as hell wouldn't start over Sawyer or the kid at Florida right now. Vandy has a competent QB but no surrounding cast. He wouldn't start for state or Ole Miss. Maybe Arkansas would be desperate enough

Finally hitting the open guys....

Only thing on this game I was annoyed about is I would have left JG in for rest of first half. He finally was in a rhythm. Let him get a few more stats and gain more confidence. Then let the backups play all second half. Can’t complain though on this game.

Actually happier about Banks, Toototo and Bituli’s play in this game. LB corps getting better. If Thompson plays next week feeling better about the D this season.

The Florida game hugely important for Pruitt now. Much more so than if he was 3-0 right now.

Guys come on!! It was Chattanooga high school ffs! He didn’t prove ANYTHING!!! GA Bama are gonna destroy him. Maybe Florida too. Who knows. Until he wins about 3 SEC wins in a row he ain’t proved s*** to me....

Well, if Friday night is any indication, we should all get behind JG. Harrison Bailey barely threw for 200 yards with 4 interceptions in a losing effort. He may not be the program saver that some believe. The opposing coach said their strategy was just to apply pressure......ouch!

You guys really make me sick. If your a Tennessee fan and don’t support a kid giving his all for the team it truly disgusts me. We got a bunch of all sec quarterbacks in this forum it seams like support.

This has to be the dumbest, most immature opinion on this board. There’s not a single fan of this program that hopes a kid fails as he tries to give his all for Tennessee.
Recognizing his inadequacies as a QB is not hoping he fails. I’m one of his biggest critics as a QB but I’d love nothing more than for him to “get it” and take us to a 7-5/8-4 record. Evidence doesn’t say it’s likely.

The "We hate JG Crowd" will never get behind him. If he never loses another game they will continue to criticize him. Maybe it is just a Jersey thing, I will never figure it out.

Unfortunately, there is a contingent on this board that would prefer that this team lose so they can get rid of the starting QB and the HC. You must not have read their posts that appear in almost every thread that is started on this board.

We’ve had ten Fing years of gloating and feeling superior to the coaching staff. I think at this point every one just wants a winning Fing season.

I really wish we didn't have to use the word hate in every JG post just because some of us think he has done a terrible job at QB for a player that has been here so long. I have nothing against him personally and certainly don't hate him. I still haven't seen where he is gonna be the answer at QB and I would love for him to prove me wrong. Make some plays put some points on the board hit some of those wide receiver running free. Make some better decisions on third down. I think everyone that is a Vol fan wants him to succeed he doesn't have much longer to do it got to be soon. Were at a point in the season when we have to get a big win over somebody that we actually think is a good team. Florida would be a great place to make that happen.

That’s why I said fans. I’m a fan. I want to win every game. I wanted Kiffin to win. I wanted Dooley to win and I wanted Butch to win. When it became obvious that the later 2 wouldn’t, I wanted them to be fired but it was their inept ability to develop and coach that caused us to lose. I can’t imagine ever wishing our boys to lose. It’s not in me. Now, I pray and fast for Florida and their players to get severe diarrhea before, during and after every game. It’s worked once. 😉

They use emotional words like hate to try to make you feel guilty. Don’t fall for it.

Good point. There's quite a bit of difference in gaining playing time in mop up like duty as opposed to having to come in and immediately play due to injury. At least BM showed he was ready in BYU game when JG's shoe came off. Showed at least to me the kids head was in the game but a little premature because coaches usually buy some time to settle new QB down but I liked it. The rest will take care of itself. Put me in coach,I'm ready to play ! Gotta like it.

People are praising the play when the first pass should have been intercepted and basically every drive he was given a short field by our special teams and defense. Completing 7-8 passes against one of the worst teams in college football is hardly an indicator of progress. I can't wait to see who some blame going forward. All it is going to take is one big hit from a Florida defensive player and we will all see what we have seen for the 3rd year now.

A good QB knows or should know how to protect himself. There's been a lot of praise given to JG over the past 2 seasons due to his ability to stand tall in the pocket and take a hit. Dobbs was exceptional at taking hits in a way that did the least damage to his body. Not quite sure about JG. A lot of times I think it's pocket awareness in his case especially on his blind side. This leads to T/O's and maybe an injury we can do without.
