and other very good SEC teams the rest of the season! But, I think he shats his pants again vs UF and we will have a FRESHMAN QB no later than midway through the season. My money is on Maurer for UT's offensive success. Yes, he was 0-2 today. But, I can tell he has the moxy and skillset to get it done. It is much different for him to lead a lot of 2nd stringers than have the entire 1st string with him. If JG struggles in the 1st quarter vs UF, look for Maurer to come in and be a very good QB!!!!!!!

You have claimed that literally five different qbs would take his spot. Give it a rest. So far all he has shown is McBride 2.0.

You are a lying piece of crap! Yes, I thought KC should have played more last year and predicted he would take JG's spot. If KC had more than one year, I think he would have been given more opportunity. He certainly played much better vs Bama and deserved to start vs USC where JG regressed again and UT lost!!! Yes, I do think BM and JS both have much more upside than JG. They will make many more mistakes at first. But, I don't seem them as types that are clueless at times with presnap reads, staring down ONE WR, HOLDING THE BALL TOO LONG, and MAKING LATE THROWS where the WRs are WFO and have to end up fighting off a defender to make the catch!!! TODAY PROVED NOTHING!!! The UF, UGA, and MSU game will tell it all about JG and the two freshmen!!! We shall see!!!!

I would love to be wrong about JG. I’ve got to see some consistency and good play against an SEC team. That first pass of the game just cannot happen again.

For the pick contest this coming week, one of the questions should be how many times will JG be sacked.

Against Florida, my guess is the next Alex Brown shows up and gets about 5 or 6.

Lol. So glad that YOU can tell us and Chaney and Pruitt that Brian has the moxy and skill set.....I know I feel a lot better now.

Btw, Maurer was officially 0-3 passing today.

He didn’t. He just dislikes JG.

I think JG has been really bad the first two games, and today didn’t mean too much as far as he is concerned. But anybody being honest saw nothing whatsoever today from Maurer or Shrout that says they should even sniff being on the field ahead of Guarantano

Thank Joe Smith Maurer didn't come in after JG got punked by a BYU player. Maurer could be like 0-4 in his 4 times on field! Can you imagine the horror?!?

Whats Maurers record as a starter?
