Get Behind JG

I don't think ANYONE is rooting for JG to fail !!!! I do think the majority of us see little to no progress in JG as a junior SEC quarterback. After seeing all three quarterbacks today, I do think JG gives us the best chance to win right now, but would put him on a short leash if he shows any signs of playing like he did against Ga state or BYU and take my chances with Maurer.

That was one of the worst teams to ever come into neyland. But sure JG was great. Let me know how he looks after the game next week against a real defense

JG played well because of several reasons.

1. The defense gave him a short field to work with all but 1 of his possessions.

2. Throw to Callway for the TD, defender fell down and no one else within 10 yards. Hard to screw that up.

3. Had a fairly effective running game to rely on.

4. FCS team.

I'll give him credit for a fair performance and not making mistakes that cost the team points or the win. However, he wasn't tested at all today and practically had easy scoring opportunities handed to him.

Let's see how he does next week. Hoping he can have an Auburn type game and keep it close.

As much hate as he gets I can say one thing while watching his post game interview he is very well spoken and seems like a good kid, just probably not an sec quarterback. However, good for him for using his scholarship to better himself and get his education.
He's going to be a 4 year starter in the SEC for one of the highest profile programs in the country, he's definitely an SEC worthy QB.

lot of blue font missing up in this thread.

But all seriousness, I did think JG had a good game after that first pass and I hope this starts him on a road to confidence building because he's going to need it.........and in a hurry. Minus the D-line I think this team is good enough to go toe to toe with Florida, Miss St, USCe, etc when JG is on his game. Just got to get that head right

Bro, you’re either trolling or related. There’s no way you can believe that. He was good at best today and horrible against a little better talent.

We will see who he really is next week. I’m afraid we already know that answer.
And great against a couple ranked teams last year. Terrible attempt at making a point.

We can cherry pick games all day.

He was the second ranked returning SEC qb. He had a bad game last week and a great game today.

I think it’s very possible
you could be right OP, but I wouldn’t bet on it . Personally I want JG to succeed because it would mean that the Tennessee Volunteers were succeeding . I think the majority of Vol fans feel this way. I do still believe that JG is most likely the best option currently on the team, although that is a sad indictment of the current state of the program. I have seen no evidence at this point that JG is even “Vandy kryptonite” , let alone “Gator kryptonite.”

I'm stealing this one.

If y'all watched the game today and have any knowledge at all about football it's plain to see JG gives us our best shot at winning right now (emphasize now). Why not get behind this guy for a change instead of constantly belittling him. I believe most people have made their point about him over and over and over. Just maybe a little encouragement for a change might be just what this kid needs.

He's going to be a 4 year starter in the SEC for one of the highest profile programs in the country, he's definitely an SEC worthy QB.

His stats say otherwise. 12 TD's in 12 games last year. Vandy twice. GA ST. BYU. Weak stats against non conference foes.

If He starts Next year over Bailey, then we have a bigger problem than JG

Well, I will admit that I was wrong about JG!

That was the best QB ing I've seen since .....since...since...

Randy Sanders vs. Boston College ! Boom !!!
