I said to myself when Pruitt was hired that we need to give him 4 years. In the old days that was the standard to turn the program around. I am sticking by that. We need players and given time Pruitt will deliver.

It looks like Pruitt is recruiting players who can actually play the game. Need to let him get 4 years of his recruits on the field. Then look out SEC.

You seem to have a very limited knowledge of college football. Countless people knowledgeable about said topic, from fans to commentators to coaches, have noted that good coaches almost invariably make an impact by year two, as in improve the team's record by that time.

But really, if you can't understand that there's never, ever an excuse for UT to lose to Georgia State, you're either paid by the UTAD to post on here or you just aren't paying attention to the way coaching actually works.

The situation in Knoxville will take ANY coach at least 4 years to correct. If Vol fans drink the kool aid John Adams and the rest of social media is serving and put pressure on Fulmer to make a change then we will continue on the merry-go-round we have been on. All of the negativity being spewed towards this program by the media to sell newspapers and the fans is only hurting recruiting and not doing anything to help the program rebound. Give Pruitt 50 games to get this train wreck he inherited on the right track rather than 14 games that some of you seem to want to give him before crying for the merry-go-round to continue. Go Vols!!!

The Great Mike Leach was 3-9, 6-7, 3-9 his first 3 years at Wash St. I support giving him 4 years..evaluating each year on recruiting, effort of players, arrest records etc. By then Gruden will be fired so we can start the worn out Gruden rumors all over again.

Not sure what Dabo has to do with Pruitt. Same people said same things about Dooley and Jones. Same people made same excuses for Dooley and Jones. No one is arguing this team should be competing with UGA and Bama but they damn sure should beat Ga St

I'm encouraged by the play of his recruits. They are making plays and standing out. Let him get his roster and see what a proven coach like Chaney can do. Just need more like him. Right now I think we still need a couple of changes on the staff. Friend and rocker need replacing, but it sure looks like the staff can evaluate talent.

Right now we have a bunch of different ingredients. Its going to take going through the grinder for the sausage to get made. The staff has had too much success elsewhere for me not to expect a good outcome if they are given time to do so. That is what my head says. My heart says I am tired of watching losing games and while I know they need to get new guys and train the guys we have, im a bit impatient to see success. I could wait, happy, if I had a magic ball and KNEW there would be success in 2-3 more years. Unfortuately, that has not worked the last couple times we have tried so I am a bit emotionally gun-shy (like JG seems to be these days).
