Give Pruitt 4 Years to Make Vols Relevant Again

Dabo Swinney's first head coaching job started in 2008 at Clemson. His record the first 3 years at Clemson were

The situation in Knoxville will take ANY coach at least 4 years to correct. If Vol fans drink the kool aid John Adams and the rest of social media is serving and put pressure on Fulmer to make a change then we will continue on the merry-go-round we have been on. All of the negativity being spewed towards this program by the media to sell newspapers and the fans is only hurting recruiting and not doing anything to help the program rebound. Give Pruitt 50 games to get this train wreck he inherited on the right track rather than 14 games that some of you seem to want to give him before crying for the merry-go-round to continue. Go Vols!!!

I've never called for Pruitts job. We cant fire every coach who doesnt win a NC in the first season of even 3rd or 4th season. Let's get better and build something. Our players deserve some stability.

On the other hand I will criticize what I perceive as inexcusable mistakes for a defensive coach. I just think we can be upset and rational. But we need some healing time with the same coordinators and staff for 2 or 3 years.

Agreed. We need better communication on defense. Pruitt is playing with the hand he has been dealt plus some young players he recruited. Let's create a positive atmosphere in Ktown and add more good players over the next 2 years and see where that gets us.

We gave Butch four years. Don’t see why we wouldn’t with Pruitt. IMO, he’s got a better resume. I like the intensity and attitudes of the guys he’s recruiting. But we better not have anymore Ga State or BYU type games. Inexcusable on any level at this school.

It’s likely we will have a worse season than last year. Last year was worst year in school history. What coach started with the worst two seasons in their respective schools HISTORY and then turned it around to a national championship contender at any point in the future?

Jeremy Pruitt is the most joyless coach we could have hired. And he doesn’t win.

We need to give Pruitt a fair chance to fix the train wreck. It is going to take at least 4 years.

This argument is mindless. We gave Dooley three years, and we gave Butch five. We are where we are now precisely because we kept two incompetent coaches too long rather than firing them quickly, or better yet, never hiring them in the first place since neither had the credentials it should take to get this job.
