Hello Vol family. I do not want to bring this thread down with my personal stuff but as most know I have been walk through this Dementia disease with my Dad. Today got some really tough news. His esophagus is no longer stretching which makes him choke on his food. He was laboring today in his breathing today and Hospice has now taken him off all solid foods. Now its baby food and liquids which means he can't last much longer. He is skin and bones now. Been the toughest thing in my entire life to deal with. Dad was well known in his arena and proud to say he was on the silver screen in 2008 in the movie Fireproof as Kirk Cameron's neighbor Mr Rudolph. Just throwing out some memories as I hang on to memories. Thanks to all my Vol family and appreciate the prayers.
Been there brother. Prayers for you and your family 🙏

The university is not bankrolling anything with proceeds from the FL boy's shirts. After covering costs, profits are being donated to STOMP Out Bullying. The boy retains the copyright to his design. UT isn't trying to weasel away rights or make money off of him or his sad experience. The boy is a minor, so UT coordinated everything with his family and it's all being handled legally according to their wishes.

It's a shame that some uninformed media person tries to spin a good deed as a money grab. There's really no reason to be uninformed. One call to UT Media Relations would have provided the facts to any media person bothering to check. Call Tyra Haag at UT, @David Ubben. If you don't know her, you should.

Screw U @David Ubben

Sorry to hear about your dad.
I met your dad on several occasions in the early 90’s at Kirby Woods. He had a big impact on my life. I will be praying for you and your family.

How did I just now see this. 💯 post.

So...I have went down a internet rabbit hole for the last couple of days. I had a hankering to hear Iz's version of "Somewhere over the rainbow", so I pulled it up on YT...So naturally there was a ton of stuff by Judy Garland popped up too when I searched the song...

I just want to say...I had really never paid much attention to her outside of Dorothy, but that lady was absolutely amazing. Her life was tragic, but her talent was transcendent. I wish they still made entertainers like that...minus the tragedy.

Random fluff post over..carry on.

One of my favorite YouTube vids is her and Streisand singing “Happy Days Are Here Again” together. Guaranteed to induce a smile.

I agree, Garland was a great artist.

🙏 praying. I know it hurts, my mom's battle with cancer has nosedived her health. She just got finished with Chemo and immunotherapy a couple of weeks ago, and they did another brain MRI to see if the lesions (they weren't sure if the abnormalities on the first MRI from a few months ago were cancer, so they just did another one to determine if they were. If they had spread, they are the cancer) had spread...they have..so she is starting 10 days of full brain radiation the 18th.

I also would appreciate VNs contimued thoughts and prayers.
