I was slightly incorrect. They won their last regular season game last year against NO. But, Kyle Allen played. They lost the seven previous games before that one and of course they have lost both this year so far. I don't have any problems with Cam as a person. He seems like a pretty ok guy. He has not played well since early last season, though. I know he has had some injury issues, so maybe he needs to take some time off to try and heal.
Nah, Saints swept em last year. 3-0

Fun fact: Upham was a metaphor for the US sitting by for so long while Germany's atrocities against Jews were well known. He stands by as the German soldier kills Mellish, the Jewish US soldier.

Don't go spoutin off all yer subliminable thinkin in here, ya uppity mystic!

yeah, and that wasn't a drew brees saints team we beat. winning that game moved us back several spots in the draft.

it worked out because that DE/OLB we got from FSU looks to be pretty good. but I remember thinking that we can't even lose right....lol.

and cam isn't right at all. the shoulder has been a think for about 2 1/2 years now. but last year, seemed he started off really, really well. the defense was just really, really bad compared to what we're used to around here.

then he re injured it against Pittsburgh, and he tailspun the rest of the season and the defense did NOT get any better.

this year, the defense looks to be back, or at least close to, original form.

but if this is all we can expect from Newton..............................yikes.

sorry to interrupt the @David Ubben discussion and the Justified-characters-look-alike offshoot,

Need help - I may be traveling tomorrow and wondered if there was a way to listen to the game via internet. I will be going from Kentucky up to Cincinnati to visit my dad and won’t be able to catch it on traditional radio while in the car.

Thanks!

The university is not bankrolling anything with proceeds from the FL boy's shirts. After covering costs, profits are being donated to STOMP Out Bullying. The boy retains the copyright to his design. UT isn't trying to weasel away rights or make money off of him or his sad experience. The boy is a minor, so UT coordinated everything with his family and it's all being handled legally according to their wishes.

It's a shame that some uninformed media person tries to spin a good deed as a money grab. There's really no reason to be uninformed. One call to UT Media Relations would have provided the facts to any media person bothering to check. Call Tyra Haag at UT, @David Ubben. If you don't know her, you should.

I know.

I basically consider myself an expert on loser football at this point, so don't eff with me on this stuff.
I had essentially blocked out last season because of the screwing the refs gave us. I remember now, we didn’t need that game against Carolina.

Do these schools spend so much money on athletics because they love having future alumni or is it because people spend a lot of money to watch football? In the words of Cardale Jones, “we ain’t come here to play school.”

We can have a conversation about why the United States has “amateur athletics” in the first place and why those athletics are tied to higher education institutions. If you think about it, it’s truly a weird system we’ve built that has no real comparison across the country.

Take England and Spain for example - soccer is the dominant sport, obviously, in those countries. If you have a kid - say he’s 10 - who looks to be a promising athlete - those clubs sign him to a youth deal, pay him to practice and retain his rights, and put him through school up until his 18th birthday. That’s the standard - not our system.

Revisiting this post, maybe Cardale should have played school because I believe he was recently cut.

The truth is, the majority of players should be more concerned with the school part than the playing part because they will not have a future career in the NFL. That tends to get overlooked in the whole "pay the players" argument.

I pull for cam bc he is a very good romodel especially for young black kids. Proof that even being a punk at some point, you can can change and become a great dude and influence.

I could care less about fashion or press conferences.
