Change coming?

well, since we're talking about last year how about Vandy, Florida. We could speak to this year, this game is more than about stats on a sheet of paper. Do his individual stats mean a damn thing in the win department? No, he is what his record says he is.

What I responded to was this:
Volsfaninva917 said:

It would kill you if BM came in and had a productive day. You would go on and on about JG meaningless stats and how it was just UTC.

Now, admittedly, you weren't talking to me. But I made the glib remark that JG had a productive day and question if anyone died as a result. This implies, glibingly speaking, no one will die if BM had a productive day either. The expected response was: HA HA HA. My bad.

It's Georgia State, everybody should be playing tomorrow including walk ons.
It's BYU, everybody should be playing tomorrow including walk ons.
If UTC stays within 14 points, Pruitt would follow them back to Chattanooga then follow I-59 back down to Sand Mountain. Tomorrow is a blowout.

This could possibly mean nothing more than they've named Maurer the solid #2.

Of course it could mean something more if any of the earlier rumors about Chaney wanting to play someone else are true. And no, there's nothing wrong or unusual with coaches having discussions and disagreement over when or whether to pull a starter that isn't performing well.

I do like Mauer’s absolute swagger.

I mean the kid just runs out on the field without being told when he sees JG’s shoe thrown.

Now he hints at him playing tomorrow to get the fans excited and asking for it.

I mean I understand why JG plays. But you have a QB that has seen enough and wants to help his team. Respect the swag. Hell put him in, he has more drive to produce without taking a snap than JG has ever shown in his time at Tennessee.

What I've seen of CJP handling the QB situation so far tells me I shouldn't get hopeful of someone besides JG getting meaningful time. But if they do, that will actually be something to be excited about

I wonder if CJP is really handling the QB situation. Seems to me he would at least acknowledge the guys on his staff that have been QBs and a good a handler of offense. Maybe they are just now saying someone else is ready and he will pull the trigger.

This isn't some sort of cryptic nod to fans about him playing or starting. It is what is; an appeal for fans to show up when attendance is expected to be low.

Agree, but the resident tools on the board are taking it as an opportunity to trash JG again and take personal shots at him. JG has done nothing but stay out of trouble and do the best that he can to play QB at UT. So he’s not good enough, most of us agree on that. But to take personal shots at him says more about the immaturity of some of our fans than it does about JG.
