1995+
Millennials are 1980-1994ish

I’ve seen this bracket more and more and for nerd reasons, I want to know where it comes from.

The classic definition of a generation from demography is 25 years, and it’s based on human reproductive cohorts. In other words, it’s based on the reproductive span of women. The mean generation span in hunter-gatherer groups is slightly longer (27-29ish years) because they often don’t have taboos on how young someone should be to reproduce. So, if millennials start in 1980, it should end somewhere around 2005, not 1995.

This Generation Z stuff and that timespan seems like it comes from business/marketing literature and also seems like it’s disconnected from how everyone else defines generations.

Thursday night football is a horrible product. The player's union, when the next CBA comes around should say we want that crap shelved. Hardly anyone can watch it and both teams don't want to be playing it. NFL really screwed the pooch on that one.

I rarely think about the NFL on Thursday.

That's not a well thought out tweet. I believe the shirts were 14.99 ($3) from each go to the charity so 11.99 x 16k is less than $200k not including materials, labor etc.
I did that same math in my head and came to the same conclusion pretty fast and easy..I guess basic math is hard for "journalists".

I agree, NFL should be Sunday & Monday night ONLY (except for Thanksgiving day).

I watched Maryville vs Alcoa and then turned off the Bucs game after the first half.

OMG I hate that the kids were fighting to start with, but GOOD LORD is that kid's neck broken, that was a completely unacceptable response by what was probably an authority figure.

I thought it was an older kid maybe a rotc member breaking up the fight. I’m sure if it was a teacher they would have stayed around to chat with the other ones that showed up

Just sucks when you have fantasy guys going and you can't watch it and you know it's going to be a sloppy low scoring game. I think Ill just start betting the under every week at least i can make it worth it.

@David Ubben since you don't read the stuff you tweet either...here's the article

The University of Tennessee is lighting the way for the young Vol fan who made his own UT T-shirt. In recognition of the fourth-grader’s Volunteer spirit, the university has extended an offer of honorary admission for him to join the Class of 2032. In addition, he has been awarded a four-year scholarship covering his tuition and fees beginning fall 2028 should he decide to attend UT and meet admission requirements. Alumni, fans, and honorary Volunteers have stepped up in response to this story. So far, more than 50,000 shirts featuring the boy’s design have been pre-sold by the VolShop. All proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go directly to the charity Stomp Out Bullying. The university will cover the cost of the scholarship separately. Orders will begin shipping later this month. University officials have spoken several times with the boy’s mother, who has expressed gratitude to the university and said the family has been deeply touched by the overwhelming outpouring from people around the world.
