Amateur Hour Continues

I'm sure every entrenched, bloated bureaucracy in DC hates Trump because they don't have a clue what he might do to ruffle their cozy nests.
In the case of our intelligence community, he has tried to undermine them and cast doubt on them at every turn... He has sided with Vladimir Putin against their conclusions... Trump has been sloppy and unprofessional in his handling of classified information. There are plenty of valid reasons for the CIA to hate Trump.

Try to spin this

Happy to do so.

This is the Fox News article correlated to Hemingway's commentary, and she cites that he was offered extraction in 2016 "before Trump was in office" and so therefore it has nothing to do with Trump:
CIA slams CNN's 'misguided' and 'simply false' reporting on alleged CIA spy's extraction from Kremlin

In turn, the line in the Fox story is this:

According to the Times, CIA officials "made the arduous decision in late 2016 to offer to extract the source from Russia" — weeks before Trump even took office.

So what Hemingway conveniently leaves out of her comment is that the decision was made to offer to extract him AFTER Trump was elected and of course there were by then plenty of rumblings of a connection between Trump and Russia, and that Russia had interfered to help him win. That, we know now, came in large part from this very source.

Her attempted representation of this as having nothing to do with Trump because he was not in office yet completely mischaracterizes the facts.

Second, and perhaps more compelling, the decision to exfiltrate him -- which is a procedure done on an emergent basis for his protection -- came after Trump had without question disclosed highly classified material to the Russian ambassador at the WH and after Trump met with Putin and took the interpreter's notes.

You are absolutely deluding yourself -- which is no surprise if you take your cues from a Trump apologist like Hemingway -- if you think Trump's proclivity to spew classified material when he thinks it personally benefits him, did not play a role in the decision to get this guy out on an emergency basis.

They can hate him...just remember he is the boss and any actions could be perceived as sedition.

Dare not question him or suggest his loyalties are elsewhere! Zigheil!
I won't go as far as you are but Trump is very non-confrontational with our foreign adversaries. He wants to be everybody's buddy. Taliban, come on over! Who cares if tomorrow is 9/11? Let's have dinner. He canceled the deal with Iran, but it looks like he would make the exact same deal if he could. Putin is his bff and Kim Jong Un is a close 2nd. Trump is soft.

He craves the adoration he thinks he will get if he makes some grand deal with a problem country, off the cuff, due to his personal charm. This is born of his ego and naivete as much as anything else.

Same with guns, immigration, etc. We have seen him repeatedly agree to something so he can pound his chest and then, when the adults in the room explain to him the realities, he backs out.

He had no clue what he is doing.

Trump began receiving intelligence briefings months before he was elected. It probably didn't take his briefers long to realize he couldn't be trusted.

His problem is that he views such info as personally his, to be used by him, when he wants. He has done it repeatedly to show off to other leaders. He did it the other day on twitter.

He just has never appreciated that the country is not about one man. He thinks that the one and only point of him winning that election was for everyone to pat him on the back.

He is utterly unqualified for the job in every respect.

Obama proved that for 8 years.

Donald Trump literally demanded that the forecast of a hurricane trajectory be changed (retroactively) by the National Weather Service, just in order to appease his ego, so he could win an argument with CNN. This is a President who really would allow his own self absorption, petty squabbles and egotism to guide policy and potentially impact the lives of other people. That is a lot to get one's mind around.

So naive. Trump is simply a different version of the establishment. All of the corruption and bloat, without any wisdom or class.

I wish I knew which bozo floated the idea of bringing the god-damn Taliban to the United States during the anniversary of 9/11.

I would even say that he has elevated the self dealing and corruption to another level. Every indication we have been given in news reports suggest that Vice President Pence was under direction to stay at his resort in Doonbeg, Ireland despite it being on the other side of the country from Dublin. The same appears to be true of various Air Force layovers. Then you have him pushing Doral for the G 7 next year.

...and the members of his cabinet who have engaged in self dealing include: Scott Pruitt, Tom Price, Ryan Zinke, Elaine Chao, Andrew Wheeler... the list goes on and on. Trump is the swamp.

Consider the flip side. You have them at Camp David; anything happens, you shoot them.

His nut huggers whistle past this undeniable truth. To reconcile that they've been supporting the very thing they've claimed to despise is simply too difficult. So immeasurable amounts of cognative dissonance and intellectual gymnastics are the only rational explanations.

I've got another analogy for you.
Trump is like a gunshot wound to the gut, and you want to claim it's no big deal because the person already had a hangnail, a cavity, and poor eyesight.
Reality is you just want to trade one gunshot wound to the gut for another because you like the politics of the other more. The Dems aren't a hangnail, they're just another shot to the gut. Neither side is interested in fixing this country, just imposing their will.

Remember when you resident lefties were making a big issue of this a couple of days ago?

Air Force Defends C-17 Crew's Stopover at Scotland Trump Resort

'Misperception' Concerns over Air Force Crew's Trump Resort Stay May Prompt New Policies

Go ahead an read the comments, too. Don't worry there are some of your types represented in the comments ... they are the ones that don't have anything but Trump bashing - you might even pick up some pointers..

Remember, too, the citizenship rule change for kids born overseas ... that was going to have big effects on the military? It got a lot clearer when explained by not a leftist news source. The last article I saw said perhaps 25 military kids would be affected per year - a very small fraction of military kids born overseas.

I see that the Air Force is trying to defend it... of course, that doesn't explain what Pence did and it still shouldn't have happened. This is common sense.
