Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

With all of the talk about preserving JG's confidence, I'm more concerned about AT. That kid's a baller, and he just made a mistake. We knew he shouldn't have bit on the short route. Pruitt knows that. AT knows that.

I think JG has it coming for posting dumb social media stuff like him and the lion or whatever it was. From the sounds of it, AT busts his tail. I wish more fans would post positive things to keep that Tennessee boy's chin up. We're going to need him.
From the look of things, AT and JG have a different makeup. AT does not appear to be emotionally fragile. Being a CB you can't be....passes will be thrown and caught. Snap and clear as they say.

Eric Gray got very excited when asked the question about Maurer coming onto the field when JG's shoe was tossed. I have to wonder, do these guys want JG as their QB? I mean, I know we've talked about it, but I think it speaks volumes that no one said or did anything when that dude threw JG's shoe.
I firmly believe we would win 7-8 games this year if our QB was even average, which he was last year and didn’t turn the ball over so much so I don’t understand what is going on with him. Pruitt has to give him votes of confidence so he doesn’t give up, but I wouldn’t doubt if he is planning on playing the other QB’s this weekend. If they play well then he can start to think about making a change if JG doesn’t get it together.

Personally I think they are all ready for change.they know that offense has weapons to use if the right QB is in.could you imagine being a player in the film room seeing all of Jg’s Missed wide open players and late throws?..LOL
I am sure they understand that he hurt his hand, and that threw his timing off.

maybe JG needs some weed or psychologist.

We need to come out Saturday with the pedal to the metal, determined to get up huge by halftime. None of this vanilla garbage. Come out and stomp on them so that Maurer and Shrout can play in the second half. It would also be nice to get Crouch, Harrison, and Banks more reps before we enter SEC play.

I feel like i haven't heard harrison's name at all? has he played much?

You guys are still talking about firing Pruitt? Not happening. Not this year. It's all about holding the core of the recruiting class together and trying to finish with the best talent we can get.
Glad you're back. Not sure anyone has suggested firing him, maybe @Kingston Vol? I think he's got two years regardless of his record, especially if recruiting remains decent. My confidence that he'll survive beyond that is very low.

Agreed if Pruitt gets another year or 2 I have no doubt he will at the least leave behind a much better roster than the previous 2 regimes did.
We've said that about the last two coaches. The problem is we wait until it burns to the ground before we make a change. I seriously doubt that changes especially given the ease at which these kids can transfer now.

Do you think we can still get a top 15 class? Realistically?

👀😂😂😂😂 no excuses.his kind of timing is his own fault,he would rather throw in triple or double coverage than to throw to a wide open man😂 he’s just as much of a liability as a freshman that “IsN’T ReAdY”👀🙄🤷🏽‍♂️
Couldn’t agree more I think maybe some people are missing that. Everyone says the backups aren’t ready well neither is the starter lol. All he has on them is college game experience and that experience has taught him nothing.

It’s pretty well burnt to the ground, isn’t it?

That’s what Pruitt is hanging his hat on and honestly I think that’s the only reason why Shrout is ahead of Maurer

Agree with the transfer part for sure all I’m saying is I think this staff all in all are better evaluators of talent. But like I’ve said previously I hope it doesn’t get to the point where we even have to find out, hopefully we turn this thing around and this all becomes a Clemson esque story.

Do you think Pruitt will be able to with a 4-8 or worse record

I’ve not suggested firing him. I’ve bounced around the idea of what kind of season would result in him being fired.
