Just think how bad it could be if we would tried another qb at any point during the first two games. It’s possible we would be 0 & 2!!

Hey, maybe JG is still getting up to speed in Cheney's system. I heard Hyams say it took Crompton till about midway through the 2009 season before the light came on.

Skimmed through the article and I'm mad I gave them a click.

They compared Pruitt to Tubby Smith and they say we need a Penny Hardaway. Wouldnt Pruitt be more like a Penny Hardaway in the fact that hes a first time head coach and not a National Championship head coach like Tubby?

Also Penny is just the epitome of what is wrong with college basketball which is dirty recruiting. You cant build a football team off of just recruiting where you can in basketball. FSU is an example of someone who just tried to hire a recruiter.

Didn't even mention the back to back to (almost) back seasons where not a single point was scored against us

I don’t think so, but a total rebuild will take some time. This is the toughest conference in college football and there are no cupcakes in the SEC anymore like there was 10-15 yrs ago. The 85 scholly limit hinders quick rebuilds, as well. Short term, I think the thing that has to happen is showing some progress as the year plays out. I just don’t see that happening without a change at QB, jmo.

i'll admit, i would have thought they would have been by now. maybe now Chaney knows exactly what he's working with??? and that leads to a better idea of what exactly needs fixing?

dunno. frustrating for sure.

We're gonna be fine. Things are never as good as they seem, nor are they as bad as they seem.

We just got to balance our high expectations and patience.

Just scrolling through the 2016 and 2017 classes for two seconds and you see the problems - whole basketful of transfers, busts, tweeners, and damaged goods.

It's still early, but you don't see that same bust to productive ratio so far with the 2018 and 2019 classes. We're gonna get there eventually.

Yeah, a problem being the staff was limited to working on, or around, the problems they saw in practice, which apparently isn't that many.

Hope that him being exposed in games gives them another route.
