This season, while looking like your standard dumpster fire, is actually a prescribed burn, stabilizing and promoting the future health of Tennessee football. Burn it all to the ground, build it back stronger, the right way.
A part of this also reminds me of the Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS. Lost three straight, facing elimination, and then railed off 4 straight to win the series. Get these guys a taste of winning and maybe they find their confidence and get on the kind of roll we thought we'd see this year. I don't think we beat Bama or UGA or anything like that, but let it start clicking for this team and who knows what the actual ceiling is.
