Let’s run a little thought experiment:

Disregard the Georgia State game. If I told you all on August 1st, the first day of camp, that we’d lose to BYU but we “played hard” and “the crowd was really good” and those things would be cited as progress and a job well done by the coaching staff, you all would have laughed me off as a negaVol.

Some serious moving of the goalposts going on this morning.

Why is so important to you to convince VN members to dislike Pruitt? You know that I don't make the call, right?

We should never lose to BYU. It's year 2 of the 25 year rebuild I know I know.

Flawed thinking. Stupid to even bring up hypothetical like that IMHO

I loved the play calling from Chaney all night.

Put up 400+ yards with the worst QB in the SEC. Put our guys in a position to be successful play after play after play.
I really thought we could have ran some first down play action off the stretch play that was gashing them after they sold out to stop it. Guess they don’t trust our trash QB to do that. Still mad. Should have been an easy win.

I think nobody thinks things are good right now but what are you going to do? Unless if Phil has some magic up his sleeve and backroom deals are going down there is no quick fix. I think as a fan I would prefer looking at pieces that we can build off of instead of angrily shouting at the clouds.

I think we shouldn't be asking the question of will they open up the QB competition this week. They way I think about it is; which backup QB is gonna come into this week and take that starting job from JG? Because shrout and Maurer have to know that if they step up and take the bull by the horns then they can have an opportunity to lead the this team going forward. We were 2-6 before then Tyler Bray finally got his shot under Dooley and after that bray went on a run to close out that season and get us to a bowl game. The same thing can happen this year, although I hope we don’t have to get to 2-6 before we see the switch happen

Agreed. It has been a pathetic job all around by the coaching staff. No way we should even be sniffing 0-2. We should be 2-0 and at the absolute worst 1-1 after the **** show we watched last night. Why is everyone so quick to change the argument and shift blame away from the coaching staff? This is inexcusable.

People talking ish about Burrell clearly didn't watch him improve as the game wore on. He's a True Frosh corner and he's getting better.

No he didn’t he was the one Ansley went ape **** on as did Pruitt with a few mins left in the game for being so far off the WR. The kid may have a ton of talent but he’s nowhere near ready.

I’ve got some bad news - you’ve got even less control on “pieces we can build off of” than making sure we remove people who aren’t living up to expectations and their large salaries.

The coaches on staff have been successful everywhere they have been. What's the difference? Players. What are the issues? Decision making, effort, etc. even though they are in position to succeed. Coaches arent the ones to tackle, pass or block. The players are.

Now it’s the “turn on our own” portion of the failed coaching experiment. Been there, done that.
Lol, what? Did my question insult you?

We all know where you stand. It's just that we like to be able to discuss other things.
VN: Should we start a new QB?
KV: Fire Pruitt.

VN: need guys to show some fire
KV: Fire Pruitt

VN: Eh, who has the best bbq?
KV: whoever fires Pruitt!

I may end up agreeing with you but it's not going to be from carnival barking on a website.😅

We have made a commitment to Chaneys offense and clearly JG is not who we need running it.

I think its concerning that Ansley and Pruitt doesnt have our DBs playing better.
