Multiple Wide receivers were wide open for touchdowns all night. JG does not see them until it is too late. A gamer would have thrown 7 TD's against that sh**** BYU secondary.
We won’t play an SEC team that is slower than BYU. The windows for JG are only going to get smaller and he will have less time to find them.

My post game randoms:

  • I've been a JG defender and I am here to eat my words. The kid is just ruined. I don't think he sucked when he came here, but I think the four OC's, no OL's, no S&C, no QB coach for his first 2-3 years etc has ruined him. Tennessee did him a disservice with that and what we see now is the result. A shell shocked one read QB with no feel for the game and terrible vision. I'm not going to take to social media and bash him or anything, but reality is the sooner the JG era is over, the better. He is a liability.
  • Defensively, Warren Burrell is a liability right now. Two weeks in a row he's been targeted. Last night he was playing 42 yards off the line of scrimmage every snap. All the VQ fluff blurbs about him being this and that seem like fake news.
  • On that note, I'll never pay for any 247 or VQ subscription again. Those guys don't know ish. Can't gleam anything from watching 7 minutes of practice. And recruiting is so dumb with kids just saying whatever, that even the recruit interviews are useless. But I digress.
  • Crouch is a man.
  • To'oto'o is going to be one of the best ever to play the position here, all said and done.
  • Eric Gray might leave here the schools all time leading rusher. I love me some Ty Chandler, but Gray makes Chandler look average.
  • Not even taking the first sack into consideration as he wasn't even blocked, but Bumphus looked at home on the DL. Glad we have him for next year as well.
  • I really, really, really, really, really don't like the shuffling of OL. I don't know how after a spring and fall camp, you don't know who your best 5 are. Pruitt, Chaney, and Friend know far more about the game than I ever will, but all I've ever heard is how important it is for the OL to have chemistry and confidence in one another. That'll never happen if you're rotating 8-10 guys in to include having them play multiple positions.
  • Jauan Jennings. I mean, really, 'nuff said. He is a gift. We are so lucky to have him.
  • Savion and Middleton both seem like JUCO busts. Or at least complete non-factors.
  • Speaking of non-factors, Nigel Warrior. Maybe I was blinded by his high ranking in HS, his pedigree, and my simple want for him to be great.... but I really thought Pruitt and Ansley would turn him into a force. He aint ****, except a step slow and mostly out of position.
  • Oh, and can we please get an interception? Someone? Anyone? If only by accident?
  • Didn't make any big plays but Kivon Bennett seemed awfully close a time or two.
  • Darrel Taylor finally made an appearance. Likely to disappear for a couple weeks though.

Lastly, I can't relate to these "Fire Pruitt" idiots.

So it took you two games to know all this about the freshman and in three years you are just now realizing JG sucks?

You pretty much summed up my thoughts exactly.

We atleast saw a football team that looked like it had some direction last night. There are several key pieces missing, but there is something there.

I think we know what to expect with this years team. As long as the young players continue to show heart and they get better I will continue to watch and support them. This freshman class will be the class with the potential to start turning it around. We need to support them and not be calling for anyone's head.

1-11 is going to be so ridiculous. There will be a new national media hit piece written about us with every new loss. I actually think the team is still good enough for at least 3-9 but it will be hard for them to play with any energy after the UF to USC beatdown gauntlet.

I am at the same place after a good night’s sleep. On the OL, there was one series with Jahmir at LT and Wanya at guard where things were starting to roll. I bet when they look at film, they’re gonna be like, “ok, let’s work from this.”

I would rather see that with Trey at RG than ever see Ryan Johnson get blown off the ball on a fourth and short again.
