Sadly they’re not going to bench JG. 1-2 wins is the most likely probability at this point. There will be no bowl game because Ga, Fl, and Bama put you at 5 losses already. No way they go 7-0 or 6-1 on the remaining. Sad to have a season over before the Florida game even. I’d be fine watching the remaining games preparing for next year letting Shrout take lumps. Tired of watching JG do it

Nigel Warrior, you've been a big let down. Aubrey Solomon, see Nigel. Burrell at this point is looking like he was scouted and offered to play corner by Butch Jones. Kid has yet to successfully defend a pass that came his way. JG you have made me never want a soft, nothern guy ever again at any position in Knoxville. I'm so over JG and it's a shame because I really wanted him to do well.

The youth movement is in full effect and we may as well start at QB. JG is done

Don't agree with you on Burrell, I thought he really improved as the game went on.

Look at the stats for the game. Defense was not that bad . The offensive line didn't give up a sack and rushed for over 200 yds. It is glaring what the problem is . The two touchdowns were in spite of the throw. No confidence in the redzone because you are really one dimensional with a constipated QB.

Yep, watching this offense is like driving a truck with a governor on it. The QB just caps what it is capable of and limits how productive it can be. I'd rather ride out the mistakes of a freshman and see what happens. It's working out pretty well for UNC and Boise St.

I have to wonder if they are going to keep JG in to keep Harrison Bailey on the line, rather than have a young guy take over and be matched up with HB when he shows up. I am positive that this is JG's last year in Knoxville, one way or the other.

The facts are though that if we had at the least a serviceable QB we are 2-0 and probably in the grand scheme a 7 to 8 win team. But regardless this team will continue to lose to most opponents as long as JG is taking snaps that became painfully obvious tonight.

Alabama is gonna score a hundred on our D. JG is gun shy so I'm ready for a new qb mainly so I can see someone else's initials in all these posts. After he threw the int to start the 2nd half the D couldn't line up so we call timeout and then proceed to have most of our guys lined up on 1 side and BYU has the majority of their offense on the other where they then run untouched to the TD.. That to me is coaching.
I suspect we will see a new qb but I fear the results will be the same.

I know it's early but thru 14 games and watching Pruitt on the sidelines I have zero confidence he will make it. U can always find reasons for the failures but it seems that really good coaches seem to make sure his players are in the correct spots to make plays..

I feel ok about this, tough loss but man if they will hang in there they might get better. Hell I just wanna see the team and coaches hang in there and get better I could give a chit about their record. Might surprise somebody..

This is rock bottom and for some reason I’m starting to feel better, I’m just gonna enjoy the season man..

Hmm, cool...

Callaway was always in the QB’s blind spot...the wide open portion of the field. His one catch was actually in double coverage...

How can you not have wide open receivers when the other team is double and triple covering a receiver?


I would not be as upset, but I watched a hs game Friday night. You could see the QB going through his receiver reads quickly and efficiently. He would often throw to the 3rd or 4th option AND hit them in stride. Never took a coverage sack...quick decisions and release equaled receptions.

Junior in hs able to do this, but NOT a starting junior QB on an SEC team? And not any team, my VOLS! Why is this even possible?

Don’t think there’s a Bray or Dobbs waiting in the wings. QB play can probably get a lot worse. Just gotta suffer through this 1 win season and then next year maybe we can make a bowl game. 8-4 is now our ceiling

Yea maybe.. imma ride anyway know what I’m saying. It’s gonna be alright I think. We re gonna wins some games. To o to o gonna work some magic. As long as coach don’t lose em I’m thinking it’s gonna be alright...it’s weird man always darkest before dawn kind of thing

any time i hear of one of our players, i instantaneously think about how much roster talent we have.....& then i think about why we lose? it has to be coaching...

the man i saw on the sideline last night was swimming. he looked defeated. maybe i'm over analyzing or just wishing.
