This has always been a 5 year rebuild

Our QB can’t play. That’s true, but the length of the rebuild remains the same. We better see a freshman play sometime at or after UF.
New qb needs to be playing before Florida. Last time we had a new QB have his first start vs Florida we had 5 picks in the game.

The whole team played with better effort.

Pruitt’s recruits are the best players on the field.

This has always been a 5 year rebuild.

A negaVol like me shouldn’t have to talk you off the ledge. Give Pruitt more time.

No team in America should take 5 years to rebuild.

Zero. That is just dumb. Actually, it's literally dumb. Literally. Just dumb.

Actually what you said was, """"""It'll be even worse""""", but when asked about what you meant by that statement, you have trouble focusing on the question, you know the question about your statement???????

So what do you think will happen when Pruitt is fired? Success? Obviously that's what you're thinking. I'm thinking 10 more years of misery if we go down that path. I thinks it's an overreaction and crazy to fire him at any point this season regardless of results. This team just isn't very good. To be fair the coaches need to learn a thing or two also. But it's crazy talk talking about firing him. You guys dont have any good answers. You're dreamers that think if you throw money someone good will want the job. They don't because prisoners like you are running the prison and make firing/hiring decisions. We'll get to take a chance on another unproven head coach. That's what I think.

You are right on; however, I differ with you timing as I'd say there should be no doubt, a New QB needs to be playing no later than kickoff Chattanooga. I have a feeling we're going to go 0-3, Chattanooga is looking forward to this, they know they could have whipped GS's A**, and they feel they could have taken BYU to the woodshed, week three isn't going to be roses.

I'd like to see him get more time, but he's not going to be able to flip the roster with losses to GA State and BYU. Recruits want to see progress. Everything off the field looks/sounds great, but the team actually seems to have regressed from last season. I still think something broke with this team after the Kentucky game last season. They had shown some promise and they looked prepared even if they were outmatched. Completely opposite team that next week against Missouri and they haven't looked any different since.
I have to think that when this all finally blows up, that there will be stories to come out. There is too much that just doesnt make sense.

Just listened to Urban talk about TN on FS1. He said people say you can't recruit to TN but he said that's not true that the state has great high school talent and TN is a top 10 job in college football. He said the east is still wide open and if TN can get things figured out that it wouldn't take long to win in the east. I honestly always hated the guy but I wouldn't mind Fulmer throwing the bank at him if we choose to move on from pruitt. I just want want to see us with a winning record again. 😭

Hey if you're into moral victories I'm sure there are some Pac 12 teams you'd like.

I never said it was a moral victory. I said I saw some things I liked tonight. Hell, we outplayed them most of the game, but we are a young team that doesnt know how to win or close out games. We lost, but it isn't the end of the world. There were plenty of positives to be found.

Some (all) of our cheerleaders looked HOT, yes sir, there is a positive to be sure.

It’s not with using a decent QB.

Guys, just one busted play lost us the game. If Taylor doesn’t make a mistake we’re celebrating right now.

Multiple timeouts to address poor positioning in the secondary, where the busted play took place.

Whose specialty is supposed to be the secondary?

No, were not celebrating, we're still confused as ever about what this team was doing against a bad BYU squad. The goal this year was improvement over last, that isn't going to happen. If the goal is to get better as the year goes along we'vee set the bar so low an Eskimo who's never seen the game played could coach us and be successful, the team that started the season was the absolute worst squad that ever suited up at Neyland.

I agree with the OP. I dont know if Pruitt is going to be our savior or not but we have to give him time to at least try. We also need to change QBs. It was clear the staff have no confidence in JG throwing the football and unfortunately it doesn't appear that he has improved. At this point we might as well give one of the young guys a look. We not going to win with JG. Writing on the wall.

To be sure CP is going to stay for a full five years, would you give him a contract extension, and perhaps a big raise???

Young team...hahahahaha! How many years are we young? BYU's QB just won in Neyland in the 4th road game of his entire career. Meanwhile we have a QB in his 4th year. A 5th year and 4th year senior pair of receivers, a senior TE, a Junior starting RB, etc etc etc. There are 58 people on the roster with 3 years or more in CFB.

The problem is...while there's some really good looking sophomores and freshmen it's still not enough. And with this abymsal season it's going to be impossible to sign a top 10 class which is NEEDED to rebuild. Pruitt couldn't afford to lose any of these 2 games. A bowl game was a must in year 2 and it's gonna take a miracle to reach one now.

You may be on to something..Remember Pruitt inherited a team without 1 person being drafted in his first year..Nick Saban also inherited a team at Bama that didnt have one player drafted by the NFL in his first yr..And it took him 5 yrs to rebuild!!!!

Props to the guy for not kicking us while we're down but no thanks on him coming here.
If we want to win is going to take bringing in an experienced guy with some baggage....... Or we could just continue to go with guys with no experience at this level and hope to get lucky one day.
